  • Patent number: 4762169
Abstract: A heating and/or air conditioning installation for the inner space of a motor vehicle, particularly individual cars, comprises programmable and manually adjustable devices for the defrost air (4 and 5), foot air (6 and 7) and aeration air (8, 9, 10) inlets. These devices enable one to consider the various sensitivities of the driver and the passengers to temperature and to air streams, since they control different air inlets by means of separate automatic and programmable temperature selectors (11 and 12) for each lateral half (17 and 18) of the inside of the car and by means of adjusting devices (23-26), also independent and previously adjusted according to the needs.

  • Patent number: 4549692
Abstract: A heating and/or air-conditioning system for motor vehicles provide for a temperature stratification between two different partial spaces of the vehicle interior. The system provides for independent reduction of the air stream which can be lowered in its temperature, by control device controlling the temperature of the air stream introduced into a partial space and of a throttle device which may function independently therefrom in a channel through which the air flows to the partial space. The throttle device is arranged downstream of the control device.

  • Patent number: 4125150
Abstract: A ventilating and heating or air-conditioning apparatus, especially for motor vehicles, which is equipped with a heat-exchanger, a cold-air by-pass branching-off upstream of the heat-exchanger and a warm-air channel including the heat-exchanger, with the cold-air by-pass and the warm-air channel alternately controllable; a distributor space provided with ventilating- and heating-connecting openings is provided, in which the cold-air inlet-opening and the ventilating-connecting opening are disposed opposite one another while the warm-air inlet-opening as also the heating-connecting openings are arranged offset thereto.

  • Patent number: 4047071
Abstract: Mercury vapor discharge lamps in which the amalgam is contained in a porous solid-state) silicate mass which is secured to an internal surface of the lamp. The invention also provides electrode-containing components for fluorescent lamps wherein the component has an amalgam-forming composition contained in a silicate mass secured to a portion of the said component. The invention further provides a method of manufacturing said electrode-containing component and said lamp.
