    Abstract: The invention relates to a device for sealing an object to be sealed, in particular for sealing a rotating shaft, which device has a sealing body, which has a sealing side facing the object to be sealed and a back side facing away from the object to be sealed. On the back side, the sealing body has at least one element that changes the stiffness of the sealing body, which element changes the contact pressure between the sealing body and the object to be sealed.
