An intermediate plate is disposed between the fifth wheel, the tractive unit and the semitrailer and is connected to the semitrailer. Measuring devices are disposed on the intermediate plate for measuring acceleration, tractive or braking forces and for measuring the weight of the semitrailer. The measured values are used to influence and improve the driving behavior of the semitrailer motor vehicle.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the arrangement of measuring devices on a semitrailer motor vehicle having a tractive unit, a semitrailer unit and a fifth wheel fastened to the tractive unit. The measuring devices(s) in each arrangement are disposed between the fifth wheel and the semitrailer. In one embodiment, a force sensor for measuring tractive and acceleration forces is disposed on a coupling claw forming part of a locking mechanism associated with the fifth wheel. In the same embodiment, a measuring device for measuring impact and pressure forces arising during braking is operationally connected to a movably mounted contact part forming part of the locking mechanism. Alternative embodiments of the present invention showing different measuring arrangements are also disclosed.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement of measuring devices on a semitrailer motor vehicle having a tractive unit, a semitrailer unit and a fifth wheel fastened to the tractive unit. The fifth wheel has a coupling plate which is pivotally disposed on a support structure such as a support block. The measuring arrangement includes measuring devices for measuring acceleration, tractive or braking forces which arise in the fifth wheel of the tractive unit. In the various embodiments disclosed herein, the measuring devices are incorporated into the support structure. If desired, the measuring devices may also include devices for effecting measurement of the weight of the semitrailer. The measured values are converted in an evaluation device into appropriate control commands for influencing the driving behavior of the semitrailer motor vehicle.

    Abstract: The characteristic of the improved process for the preparation of 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene and 1,5-diaminonaphthalene is to carry out the alkaline pressure hydrolysis of the disodium salt of naphthalene-1,5-disulphonic acid at temperatures from 270.degree. to 290.degree. C. and under 14 to 20 bar using an excess of sodium hydroxide solution such that the molar ratio NaOH/disodium salt of naphthalenesulphonic acid is at least 12:1. The 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene which is obtained in this manner, without hazard and in substantially higher purity, is then aminated with ammonia in the presence of ammonium bisulphite to give 1,5-diaminonaphthalene, it being possible to achieve a further increase in the degree of purity of the 1,5-diaminonaphthalene by increasing the molar ratio NH.sub.3 /1,5-dihydroxynaphthalene to at least 6:1.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a hitching device with automatic coupling, applicable in particular to the joining of automotive tractors to their trailers.This device consists essentially of a fork, in which the pulling member arranged on the tractor engages. Mounted on one of the branches of the fork is a closing arm which can be positioned transversely to the two branches so as to retain the pulling member between them.This arm is integral with a control lever, upon which the pulling member acts when it is reversed, so as to bring it to the coupling position.The closing arm is immobilized in this position by a locking device comprising a lock which engages in an indentation of the closing arm and which may be disengaged manually so as to release the closing arm in order to uncouple the trailer.
