  • Patent number: 5484548
Abstract: Scouring powders containing abrasives and an alkyl glycoside having a degree of oligomerization of from 1.2. to 1.4. These scouring powders are low foaming in the presence of water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 29, 1993
Date of Patent: January 16, 1996
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschft auf Aktien
Inventors: Eva Kiewert, Lothar Pioch, Wolfgang Seiter, Winfried Wichelhaus
  • Patent number: 5139693
Abstract: A granular mixture produced by spray drying of(a) 45 to 75% by weight zeolite,(b) 1 to 6% by weight of a water soluble soap of substantially saturated C.sub.12-18 fatty acids,(c) 1 to 12% by weight homopolymers or copolymers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or maleic acid or water-soluble salts thereof, expressed as sodium salt,(d) 0 to 25% by weight sodium sulfate,(e) 0 to 5% by weight surfactants of the nonionic polyglycol ether derivative type,(f) 10 to 22% by weight water, has an average particle size of 0.2 to 1.2 mm and an apparent density of 350 to 680 g/l. The product, which may be used as a detergent additive, has a high adsorption capacity for liquid to paste-form detergent constituents, more particularly nonionic surfactants, and improved flushing behavior when used in domestic washing machines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 3, 1990
Date of Patent: August 18, 1992
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
Inventors: Elmar Wilms, Lothar Pioch, Guenther Vogt
  • Patent number: 4861510
Abstract: An agglomerate containing sodium sulfate and as layer silicate, a synthetic layer silicate which has a smectite-like crystal phase, increased contents of bound alkali metal and silicate and a distinctly reduced swelling power compared with pure smectites. The agglomerate can take up significant quantities of an additional liquid component in its pores, resulting in a free-flowing agglomerate which outwardly feels dry. This high adsorption capacity may be used, for example, to take up a liquid detergent component which may then be mixed in combination with powder-form or granular detergent components to form a free-flowing detergent composition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 21, 1988
Date of Patent: August 29, 1989
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
Inventors: Elman Wilms, Dieter Jung, Herbert Linsenbold, Lothar Pioch, Winfried Wichelhaus
  • Patent number: 4834902
Abstract: To produce granular, free-flowing detergents containing sodium metasilicate, pentasodium triphosphate or zeolite NaA or a triphosphate/zeolite mixture, at least two of the components are first agglomerated and mixed as a granular preagglomertate with other components present in powder form and compacted by means of rolls, the pressure limit beyond which no further compaction is obtained not being significantly exceeded. The compactate is then size-reduced to the desired particle size.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 22, 1988
Date of Patent: May 30, 1989
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
Inventors: Lothar Pioch, Dieter Jung, Jochen Jacobs, Elmar Wilms
  • Patent number: 4482470
Abstract: Process for reducing the viscosity of aqueous concentrates of anionic surfactants by adding thereto a small quantity of a compound containing polyglycol ether groups; and the aqueous concentrates prepared thereby.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 6, 1982
Date of Patent: November 13, 1984
    Assignee: Henkel Kommanditgesellschaft auf Aktien
Inventors: Herbert Reuter, Lothar Pioch, Karl-Heinz Schmid, Wolfgang Seiter
