Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid to paste machine dishwashing detergent which, in addition to customary machine dishwashing detergent ingredients, comprises a crystalline, layered silicate of the formula aA2O.bBO.cC2O3.dD2O5.eSiO2.fH2O, in which A is an alkali metal and/or hydrogen, B is an alkaline earth metal, C is an element from the third main group of the Periodic Table, and D is an element from the fifth main group of the Periodic Table, and the following also apply: 0≦a≦1; 0≦b≦0.5; 0≦c/e≦0.05; 0≦d/e≦0.25; 1.9≦e≦4; 0≦f≦20. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of this machine dishwashing detergent and to its use.

Abstract: A solid-form dishwasher detergent that contains a builder combination of conventional phosphates and crystalline layer silicates. Despite its phosphate content, the detergent provides improved protection to sensitive tableware, more particularly glasses and decorated tableware, and improved cleaning performance.

Abstract: A dishwashing agent consists of a crystalline, largely water-insoluble sodium layer silicate having a molar ratio of SiO.sub.2 /Na.sub.2 O of (1.9 to 3.5):1 in combination with a proton donor, a 0.5% strength by weight aqueous solution of the dishwashing agent having a pH of less than 10. The dishwashing agent can furthermore contain a surfactant, an active chlorine or active oxygen carrier, a dispersing agent, an alkali metal phosphate or an alkali metal polyphosphate and a filler.

Abstract: A rinsing composition free from phosphate contains as a builder a crystalline layer sodium silicate of the general formula NaMSi.sub.x O.sub.2x+1.y H.sub.2 O, in which M is sodium or hydrogen, x is a number of 1.9-4 and y is a number of 0-20, in admixture with a co-builder which is a polymeric and/or copolymeric carboxylic acid or a salt of said acid.

Abstract: Dimensionally stable alkaline cleansing agents of low density consist at least of 2 to 50% by weight of alkali metal phosphates, 2 to 50% by weight of silicates and 1 to 60% by weight of alkali metal hydroxides and/or alkali metal carbonates or bicarbonates and additionally contain 0.25 to 10% by weight of phosphoric acid partial esters.These cleansing agents are prepared by first foaming phosphoric acid partial esters with water in a weight ratio of (1:2) to (1:80), using intensive stirring. When the remaining components have been incorporated into the foam, using stirring or kneading, the resulting mixture is converted to moldings. The moldings are allowed to set for 0.5 to 15 hours.

Abstract: The invention relates to a composition suitable for use in cleaning panes of glass, consisting of a pelleted blend of surfactants, the composition containing:(a) a water-soluble alkali metal polyphosphate of high molecular weight with a P.sub.2 O.sub.5 -content of 60 to 70 weight %;(b) at least one alkali metal carbonate or hydrogen-carbonate;(c) at least one crystalline substance producing an acid reaction in aqueous solution;(d) at least one anion-active and/or non-ionic surfactant; and(e) at least one filler, if desired or convenient.

Abstract: The invention provides a composition suitable for use in cleaning panes of glass consisting of a substantially homogeneous surfactant and binder containing blend, in the form of a hardened moulding, the blend containing:(a) at least one water-soluble alkali metal phosphate;(b) at least one anion-active and/or non-ionic surfactant;(c) at least one alkali metal silicate, with or without water admixed therewith;(d) at least one orthophosphoric acid mono- and/or dialkylester having 1 to 4 carbon atoms in its alkyl groups, or a specified type of product obtained by reacting phosphorus-V-oxide with a monohydric alcohol and an alkane polyol; with or without(e) a complex former and/or a solvent.
