    Abstract: A substrate with a color changing indicator to identify wear of the substrate is disclosed. The color changing indicator generally comprises a substrate having a working surface with a first color and a surface coating comprising a second color, different than the first color, dispersed in a binder. The surface coating covers the first color of the substrate and repeated use of the article wears away the surface coating causing exposure of the first color to indicate wearing of the substrate. Also disclosed, is a method of making an article including a color changing indicator.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an abrasive cleaning article, a method of making an abrasive cleaning article, and a method of cleaning a surface with an abrasive cleaning article. In one aspect, the abrasive cleaning articles comprises a substrate, a water-soluble binder having a weight average molecular weight less than 200,000, and a plurality of abrasive particles releasably secured to the substrate by the water-soluble binder. The abrasive particles release from the substrate upon contact with a solvent.
