  • Patent number: 10795744
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying failed customer experience in distributed computer systems. An example method comprises: receiving, by an application performance management (APM) server associated with a distributed computer system, an application layer message associated with a request originated by a client computer system responsive to an action by a user; identifying a failed customer experience error by analyzing the application layer message; and causing a first graph to be rendered by a graphical user interface in a visual association with a second graph representing a number of user login events grouped by a pre-defined period of time, wherein the first graph represents a number of identified failed customer experience errors grouped by the pre-defined period of time.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10048994
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying failed customer experience in distributed computer systems. An example method may comprise: receiving, by a processing device of a distributed computer system, a first application layer message associated with a request originated by a client computer system responsive to an action by a user, wherein the first application layer message comprises a transaction identifier identifying a sequence of messages originated by one or more components of the distributed computer system and associated with the request; identifying a pre-defined byte pattern comprised by the first application layer message; and identifying, based on the pre-defined byte pattern, at least one of: a system error associated with the transaction or an application error associated with the transaction.

  • Patent number: 6631424
Abstract: A method is provided for use in distributing information (e.g., World-Wide Web pages) using a computer. Based on a request (e.g., a URL-based request) for the information, a remote function call (e.g., an RPC call) is selected to direct to a source (e.g., an application server) of the information. A predefined set of multiple requests (e.g., for creating a “frames” display) may include the request. Based on the request, a data object (e.g., including a URL from the request) may be created, and the data object may be made available to the source of the information. The remote function call may be made across a function call bridge (e.g., formed by RPC client and server software). Static or dynamic data may be provided. An operating system function may be invoked.

  • Patent number: 6151686
Abstract: Provided is a method of managing a problem with retrieving information from a computer system. The method includes automatically generating a request for the information, testing whether the problem is indicated by a result of the request, and, based on the testing, automatically determining whether human intervention is required.

  • Patent number: 5991878
Abstract: Methods are provided for controlling access to information in a distributed computing system. A request for the information is received and is accompanied by encrypted session state data. Based on the encrypted session state data, it is determined whether to pass the request on to a source of the information. In a memory buffer, old data is replaced by overwriting with a unique identifier. After the memory buffer has received new data and a procedure has been executed for copying the contents of the memory buffer to a destination, it is determined whether the unique identifier may be found at the destination.
