  • Patent number: 5663961
Abstract: A communication network (10) includes packet switching nodes (18) in which packets from high speed data links (20, 22) are switched onto a multiplicity of low speed data links (26). Each node (18) includes a bulk RAM (30) which has a section (32) dedicated to implementing a multiplicity of logically independent FIFO buffers. A routing controller (46) controls DMA transfers of packets into and out from appropriate FIFO buffers. Packets are transferred into respective FIFO buffers consecutively and transferred out from respective FIFO buffers interleaved together.

  • Patent number: 4118991
Abstract: A selective frequency scale display mechanism for a pushbutton AM and FM radio receiver is disclosed. Presetable cam projections are located on each of a plurality of tuning pushbuttons and predesignate each pushbutton for tuning the radio to either the AM or FM frequency waveband. Manual actuation of a tuning pushbutton causes a band selecting cam projection to selectively engage and pivot a pivotal plate which results in actuating an overcenter spring assembly that in turn pivots a multisurface display body having different longitudinally extending scales on each of a plurality of its surfaces. In this manner, manual actuation of a tuning pushbutton results in selecting the band to which the radio will be tuned to, selecting the individual frequency within this band that the radio will be tuned to, and providing a visual display of the longitudinally extending scale which corresponds to the selected band.

  • Patent number: 4051244
Abstract: Compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.3 represent hydrogen or alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbons; R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 represent hydrogen, alkyl containing 1 to 8 carbons, dialkylaminoalkyl or aryl, ##STR2## may also represent the piperazinyl group which may be substituted in the 4 position by methyl, phenyl or benzyl.Compounds have pharmaceutical utility.

  • Patent number: 4028471
Abstract: A yeast leavened dough composition containing, for each 100 parts by weight of flour, an additive comprising from 0.0020 to 0.0120 parts by weight of a peroxide oxidizing agent and from 0.0025 to 0.090 parts by weight of either sorbic acid or a sodium, potassium or calcium salt of sorbic acid, the ratio of peroxide to sorbate being no greater than one with more than 0.0075 parts by weight of peroxide. A baked product produced from such a composition has a number of improved characteristics including crumb resiliency, overall texture, structure and shelf life.

  • Patent number: 4027122
Abstract: A switch assembly for providing a push-pull, double pole, switch action has molded cylindrical first and second housing portions having first and second pairs of electrically isolated contact terminals fixedly mounted therein in electrical isolation and extending outwardly from the housing portions which are formed with a central aperture therethrough. A switch operating plunger having a cam located intermediate the ends of the plunger is positioned within the housing, the ends of the plunger extending outwardly through the central aperture of the housing portions. The plunger and cam are mounted for limited axial reciprocating movement within the housing portions between a first and second position.

  • Patent number: 3979098
Abstract: A support for a slab or tray intended to be secured to an upright, such as a metallic leg of a table including at least two trays. The support has the general shape of a triangle of which the top of the corner adjacent to the leg has a suitable profile adapted to mate closely with part of the half-periphery of the leg, while each of the sides adjacent to the profile bears a substantially right-angled flange. The fixing of the support to the leg is effected either by welding or by screwing through a small plate fixed to said support. The invention is particularly apt for the construction of tea trolleys, occasional tables and television stands.

  • Patent number: 3965449
Abstract: A rotary wiper contact supported on a hub is housed between a substrate having a resistive element and a bracket means to form a potentiometer subassembly. The bracket and substrate are fixedly mounted to a pushbutton tuner frame with the hub of the wiper contact directly mounted on the treadle bar for integral movement therewith. Actuation of any pushbutton or the manual tuning shaft to select a predetermined frequency rotates the treadle bar and the wiper contact varying the effective resistance of the potentiometer which controls the voltage of a varactor to tune the receiver.
