  • Patent number: 6499618
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for sealing a bottle containing a sparkling wine and includes a stopper, particularly made of cork or a synthetic material, capable of being inserted in the neck of the bottle, maintained thereon by a wire cap, and run through in the axial direction, by a conduit having first and second ends capable of communicating respectively with the bottle's internal volume and external volume. The second end is closed by a retractable closer. The device is characterized in that the stopper is axially run through by an orifice designed to receive the conduit and having an adjusted and tight cross-section relative to the conduit external section, the latter being provided at its second end, with a support flange capable of resting against the stopper upper surface.

  • Patent number: 5394644
Abstract: Device for tying vines or other plants that can be trained by tying, using adhesive tape.A flat body (10), the rear portion (11) of which encloses a roll (2) of adhesive tape (20), its front part (12) housing a star-shaped wheel (3) with several spokes (30), mounted in free rotation around a transverse axis (31), with the end (32) of each of the spokes (30) being rounded and of a width that is approximately equal to the width of the adhesive tape (20). Said spokes (30) are surrounded by the side walls (34) separated by spaces (35,), with part of said star-shaped wheel (3) exceeding the length of its spokes on the lower edge (13) of the body (10), and being partially covered by a cog (4) in the arc of a circle, mounted in a pivot around an axis (40) to the front part (12) of the body (10) and held by a spring (41) against the ends (32) of the spokes (30) between the side walls (34).

  • Patent number: 4244819
Abstract: A floating anti-pollution barrier for combating water pollution and method of using the same is disclosed. The floating pockets of the barrier, the openings of which are downwardly disposed, are given their shape and kept in shape by masses of a material which is lighter than water. These masses preferably consist of a cellular material which is watertight and minimally compressible, of inflated bladders, or of air blown into the pockets. In a preferred embodiment in which the pockets are given shape by the masses, air enters the shaped pockets and is trapped therein to effect flotation of the barrier, and provisions are made for accommodating retention of the barrier at the surface of the water, even in the event that water fills the pockets, since the masses then act to effect the flotation of the barrier.
