  • Patent number: 5066880
Abstract: The permanent magnet synchronous electrodynamic machine comprises a rotor (5) of the flux concentration type including a shaft or hub (15) made from a non-magnetic material on which rest parallel-sided radial permanent magnets (12) between which are disposed polar pieces (14) made from a ferro-silicon magnetic sheet, and a stator (2) comprising a frame made from ferro-silicon magnetic sheet in which are formed a plurality of semi-closed notches (10) delimited by a stator yoke (11) and receiving induction coils (9), the rotor defining with the rotor (5) an air gap (6). The magnets (12) are of the ferrite type and the ratio r1 of the height of the section of a magnet (12) through which the induction flux passes divided by the bore diameter of the air gap is between 0.19 and 0.27.

  • Patent number: 4709179
Abstract: The machine includes a rotor of the flux concentration type. Six permanent magnets of the high-energy type are mounted on a shaft. Between the magnets are placed pole pieces made of ferrosilicon magnetic sheets. A stator is composed of ferrosilicon magnetic material in which are formed a plurality of half-closed slots which receive inducted windings. An air gap is formed between the rotor and the stator. The ratio r.sub.1 of the height of the section of the magnets through which the induction flux passes to the width of the air gap is between 0.281 and 0.344.

  • Patent number: 4498024
Abstract: This invention has as its object an electrodynamic machine (10) cooled by a liquid contained in a housing (12) in which is mounted a stator (14) whose inner peripheral wall (16) works with the outer peripheral wall (20) of a rotor mounted to turn in the housing (12) to define between them a gap (22) in which said fluid circulates. The machine according to the invention is characterized in that the peripheral walls (16, 20) are cylindrical and wherein their surface in contact with the cooling liquid is continuous and smooth so as to minimize the energy losses due to the laminar flow of the cooling liquid.Application to the cooling of electrodynamic machines.
