    Abstract: A uniform, continuous layer of a drag reduction material is applied to the internal wall of a conduit by injecting into the conduit the material in liquid form via an apparatus capable of applying the liquid to the internal conduit wall. The apparatus supplies the liquid to the wall at a rate proportional to the rate of travel of the apparatus through the conduit. The drag reduction material may be injected into the conduit either prior to the injection of the apparatus or may be contained in a chamber within the apparatus.
