Abstract: A system for treatment of wood poles that includes a container placed at the top of wooden poles with a drip or wick valve system to enable preservatives that extend the life of wooden poles to be applied to the pole. Embodiments may also include electrically insulating containers that can also function as insulators for high voltage electric lines, ground wires on power poles, electric fencing and the like.

Abstract: A mouth speculum includes a first elongated hollow tubular member connected generally perpendicularly to a second elongated hollow tubular member to form a general T-shaped member. The second hollow tubular member has an opening formed in a rearward end to receive a person's thumb to support the mouth speculum thereon. In the preferred embodiment of the invention the first elongated member has a window formed therein with a light bulb mounted behind the window to provide illumination.

Abstract: An improved self-supporting mouth speculum for horses or the like comprising first and second cheek hooks adjustably connected together by a pair of straps extending therebetween. The first cheek hook includes a ring having a U-shaped hook portion extending therefrom which is inserted into one side of the horse's mouth. The second cheek hook comprises a ring having a U-shaped member extending therefrom which has a spreader portion secured thereto which is positioned between the rear molars at the other side of the horse's mouth. The adjustable straps extend over the poll of the horse behind the ears and may be tightened to maintain the entire speculum in position.
