  • Patent number: 8235435
Abstract: A handle for a kitchen utensil or the like includes a hand gripping section having a rearward push/pull valley with a varying, substantially elliptical cross-section that forms a floor, a push slope tapering up and forward from the floor, and a pull slope tapering up and back from the floor. The radial cross-sectional area of an end of the pull slope and a radial cross-sectional area of an end of the push slope each are substantially larger than a radial cross-sectional area of the floor. The handle section further includes a ring stop section disposed forward of the push/pull valley with one or more concentric rings extending above a surface of the handle member. The kitchen utensil includes a blade mating section disposed forward of the handle section and configured to receive a blade.

  • Publication number: 20110191970
Abstract: A basting brush 2, including a head 4 having a handle-receiving portion 6, two generally longitudinal sides 12, 14, a bristle-receiving portion 16, a handle 18 attached to the handle-receiving portion 6, and bristles 20. The bristles 20 have top ends 24 and bottoms ends 26. The top ends 24 are attached to the bristle-receiving portion 16. The bottom ends 26, of the bristles 20 form a curved shape having a central low point 22 and tapering upwardly from the central low point 22 toward the longitudinal sides 12, 14. The bristles 20 are distributed in a straight line between the two longitudinal sides 12, 14.

  • Publication number: 20110192037
Abstract: A spoon 2 including a bowl 22 having a top end 8, first and second curved longitudinal sides 12, 10, a flat bottom end 14 formed integrally with the bowl 22, and a handle 6 attached to the top end 8 of the bowl 22. The bowl 22 merges with the flat bottom end 14 and provides a receptacle for material directed thereinto by the flat bottom 14. In addition, the profile of the interface 18 between the first longitudinal side 12 and the bottom end 14 is curved and the profile of the interface 20 between the second longitudinal side 10 and the bottom end 14 is squared.
