    Abstract: A novel coprecipitate of aspirin and tea is described. The coprecipitate is prepared by acidification of a solution of aspirin and tea. In vivo pharmacological evaluation of the coprecipitate shows that the therapeutic activity of aspirin has been retained and the side effects commonly associated with aspirin such as irritation of the gastric mucosa, bleeding and ulceration have been markedly reduced.
