  • Publication number: 20230300212
Abstract: A streaming server generates a media stream, and delivers it to an end user. The streaming server receives media items and an item schedule, and assembles the media items into the media stream based on timing relationships specified by the item schedule. The media stream includes an advertising spot block including advertising media content, and an adjacent spot block including other media content. The streaming server inserts a contextual marker into the advertising spot block. The contextual marker includes information identifying the other media content in the adjacent spot bloc. The streaming server transmits the media stream to an end-user media player, which is configured to process the contextual marker.

  • Patent number: 11659054
Abstract: A media stream includes multiple spot blocks representing portions of time assigned to particular media content, where some of the plurality of spot blocks include primary media content, and others include advertising content. The media stream also includes a contextual marker embedded in at least one of the spot blocks. The contextual marker includes information used by a media player to transmit a tracking call in response to reading the contextual marker.

  • Patent number: 11055560
Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to optical text recognition for forms. In one example of the technology, line grouping rules are generated based on the generic forms and a ground truth for the generic forms. Line groupings are applied to the generic forms based on the line grouping rules. Feature extraction rules are generated. Features are extracted from the generic forms based on the feature extraction rules. A key-value classifier model is generated, such that the key-value classifier model is configured to determine, for each line of a form: a probability that the line is a value, and a probability that the line is a key. A key-value pairing model is generated, such that the key-value pairing model is configured to predict, for each key in a form, which value in the form corresponds to the key.

  • Patent number: 10855782
Abstract: A streaming media server inserts contextual markers into a media stream being delivered to an end user device for play out to an end user. The contextual markers can be inserted in-band into spot blocks, and can be used to identify media items included in the spot block. When the contextual markers trigger the end-user device to send a message identifying the media content, e.g. a particular show, included in the spot block to a data management platform (DMP). The DMP uses the messages triggered by the contextual markers to attribute the end user to the media content. If a threshold number of attributions is received, and if the attributions are sufficiently recent, the end user can be a associated with an audience segment. The attribution and association information can be delivered to an ad server, which uses that information to select targeted advertisements to air during the show.

  • Publication number: 20190235624
Abstract: A method of displaying information to a user includes: tracking the user's eye to obtain information about the time-varying physiology of the user's eye; correlating the information about the time-varying physiology of the user's eye to information about the user's field of view; predicting where the user will look at a future time based on the correlation; and displaying to the user's eye, at the future time, information related to one or more objects in the user's field of view based on the prediction.

  • Publication number: 20170092007
Abstract: The specification describes an enhanced reality visual interface in the form of smart eyeglasses that view, process, and project desired visual information to a user's field of view. High resolution picture elements or super-pixels are used to create an enhanced image for a user, based on the user's actual visual acuity and the desired enhanced image. Generated signals are delivered to the eye in a manner that image processing is carried out by the user's brain.

  • Patent number: 4065752
Abstract: The specification discloses a check digit verification apparatus having the following novel concepts1. the use of a read-only store (16) to hold tables of remainder values whereby to obviate the need for multiplication computing ability;2. the use of remainder values appropriate to the respective digits of an identity number to be verified, and summation of those remainder values to provide an overall remainder value for the identity number;3. the use of a remainder value accumulating store (23) having a number of stages equal to the modulus of the system, so that the contents of the store is an accumulated remainder value, thus obviating the need for a `division` computing ability; and4.

  • Patent number: 4021922
Abstract: An orthodontic plier-type tool has a pair of jaws, one of which has a step-type notch at the tip thereof and the other of which has a mating projection which engages in said step-type notch. When the pliers are used to engage an orthodontic band, or the like, the rear surface of the notch serves as a pushing surface to enable the pliers to mount the band, or the like, on a tooth without slippage relative to the pliers.
