Patent number: 10984923Abstract: A power cord with leakage current detection function includes an insulated neutral wire and aluminum foil wrapping or surrounding the neutral wire insulator. The neutral wire aluminum foil has a conductive side and a non-conductive side, wherein the non-conductive side is adjacent to the outside of the neutral wire insulator and the conductive side is facing outwards. The power cord also includes an insulated line wire surrounded by aluminum foil where the conductive side is facing outwards and in contact with the conductive side of the aluminum foil surround the neutral wire. The power cord also includes a copper braid surrounding an insulated ground wire, wherein the copper braid is in simultaneous electrical contact with the conductive sides of the line and neutral aluminum foil wraps.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2020Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: Tower Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Victor V Aromin, Louis Jay Shatkin

Patent number: 10840694Abstract: A water and flame barrier button assembly is incorporated into an electrical enclosure such as a GFCI housing to provide water and flame resistant set and reset buttons. The buttons are contained within flexible sealing frames that allow one end of the buttons to extend through the top portion of the GFCI housing while the opposite end of the button is exposed within the base portion of the sealing frame. The base portion of the sealing frame attaches to the interior of the housing with the exposed button end positioned inward of the sealing frame base. The base of the sealing frame contacts the GFCI circuit board while providing a rebound force to return either the set or reset button exposed end from a position depressed and in contact with the circuit board to a position not in contact with the circuit board and returning inward of the sealing frame base.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2019Date of Patent: November 17, 2020Assignee: Tower Manufacturing Corp.Inventors: Victor V Aromin, Louis Jay Shatkin

Patent number: 10634252Abstract: Dual sealing assemblies for mating and isolating a wire chamber from an electronics chamber within an electrical device enclosure is disclosed. The dual sealing assemblies include a dual chamber housing, wherein the dual chamber housing includes an electronics chamber and a wire chamber, and wherein the dual chamber housing isolates the electronics chamber from the wire chamber. The electrical device enclosure includes an electronics chamber cover mateable with the dual chamber housing for enclosing the electronics chamber; and, a wire chamber cover mateable with the dual chamber housing for enclosing the wire chamber. The wire chamber includes a compressible stubbed gasket having at least one locating stub corresponding to a receptacle in the dual chamber housing for positioning and holding the gasket within the top section during assembly.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Assignee: Tower Manufacturing CompanyInventors: Victor V Aromin, Daniel R Paquette, Louis Jay Shatkin

Patent number: 10539236Abstract: A sealing assembly for mating two sections of an electrical device enclosure is disclosed. The enclosure includes a top and bottom joinable section. The sealing assembly includes a first sealing section disposed on the top joinable section that has both first and second upper projecting lip extensions. The second upper projecting lip extension has a height less than the first upper projecting lip extension and forms a channel therebetween. A second sealing section is disposed on the bottom joinable section, and includes a downward projecting lip extension and channel. The downward projecting lip extension is offset from the first section first upward projecting lip extension when the top and bottom joinable sections are joined. At that point the downward projecting lip extension engages within the channel of the first sealing section, and the second upper projecting lip extension of said first sealing section is engaged within the second sealing section channel.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2018Date of Patent: January 21, 2020Assignee: Tower Manufacturing CorporationInventors: Victor V Aromin, Daniel R Paquette, Louis Jay Shatkin
