Patent number: 11964300Abstract: A device and process for applying a quick dry rapid set aqueous solution. An indicator of a selected color and composition is added to an accelerator to be applied along with a resin. The tinted color indicator is typically blue and allows the user to determine if the proper mixture is being applied. The indicator is visible only during application and disappears after application. The resin and accelerator are applied using an airless spray mechanism with delivery systems and spray gun. The spray gun has 2 nozzles and the capability to set the angle between the nozzles.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2020Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: Polyglass S.p.A.Inventors: David Farrell, Robert Salars, Shawn Carney, Harold Sheldon Watkins, Betiana A. Publication number: 20230085623Abstract: An Methods and apparatuses for reducing the transmission of unwanted sound and vibration energy generated by dynamic and/or impact loads through floors in multi-story buildings. This may be accomplished using an acoustic wave transformation and attenuation sound proofing membrane including an acoustic wave transformation layer, an acoustic absorption layer, and a constrained vibration damping layer. The acoustic wave transformation layer may be capable of transforming acoustic waves in a manner that may easily be attenuated by the acoustic absorption and constrained vibration damping layers. The sound proofing membrane may be used with several different combinations of floor coverings, adhesives, and subfloors. Impact acoustical tests have demonstrated that the sound proofing membrane can achieve higher IIC and MC ratings compared to conventional acoustic underlayments and/or membranes and, thus, prevent unwanted dynamic and/or impact loads from disturbing occupants in rooms beneath the floor assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Applicant: POLYGLASS S.p.A.Inventors: Philip J. Hipol, Betiana Acha, Louis L. Grube
