The system automatically selects the first browsing set based on the query and the elevated level of interest of the first user for the first browsing set. The system generates a first user interface including the browsing concept. Finally, the system communicates the first user interface including the browsing concept to the client machine.

Abstract: A request is received from a client machine via a web interface for content presented on a web page. A globally unique identifier (GUID) that is associated with the user is accessed and a number is generated based on the GUID. The generated number is utilized as an index to locate the storage device from the number of storage devices. Here, the storage device stores a user profile associated with the user. The user profile is read from the located storage device and the web page is personalized based on this user profile. The personalized web page is then communicated to the client machine. Other techniques for locating a storage device are also described.

Abstract: Example systems and methods of processing a data search request are presented. In one example, a data search request including a plurality of constraints is received. Each of the plurality of constraints is of one of a plurality of constraint types. At least one of the plurality of constraints of a first constraint type is expanded to one or more constraints of at least one other constraint type. A plurality of search definitions is formulated utilizing the plurality of constraints. Each of the plurality of search definitions includes a unique constraint set excluding at least one of the plurality of constraints. A plurality of searches is performed using the plurality of search definitions to generate a plurality of search results. Data item counts corresponding to the search definitions are calculated. The data item counts and the corresponding search definitions are communicated to a client machine.

First, the system accesses a rule specifying a condition for assigning data to the data item, the condition based on the content of the data item, the assigned data to provide structure to the data item. Second, based on a detecting that the condition has been met, the system applies the rule to assign the assigned data to the data item. Third, the system stores, in a database, the data item and the assigned data as the data item structured information.

The system includes a query controller module to receive the data search request that includes constraints; a reduced constraint builder module to formulate a plurality of search definitions that are formulated to exclude at least one constraint; and a search engine to perform searches of a data source to generate search results and to utilize the search results to calculate counts of data items that respectively correspond to the search definitions. The query controller module communicates the counts of data items and the corresponding search definitions to a client machine.
