  • Publication number: 20220014884
Abstract: A computer-based system to improve data transfer rates between stationary or moving remote devices having sensors and a server. A sensor data ingestion device is provided at the remote devices, having instructions therein which, when executed, receive and process data to place it in a form suitable for rapid download by a remote server. A memory buffer and a queue unit including computational circuitry configured to generate a queue status associated with triggering event data which is stored in the memory buffer. Instructions in the sensor data ingestion device may provide for a queue modification procedure, or the server may present a queue modification menu including one or more instances of a priority level choice. A queue controller may be provided. Streaming messages are downloaded by the server using a persistent WebSocket connection. Files configured to file chunks at the sensor data ingestion device, and the file chunks are downloaded by a server using a webhook.

  • Publication number: 20190041886
Abstract: Disclosed is a computerized method for dispatching energy from distributed resources in a discharge event so that the energy stored in individual devices is ilevelized, or so that an operator request is met. Evaluation of event parameters may be deferred. The method may be utilized to dispatch energy from plug-in electric vehicles. Systems and methods to account for electricity dispatched to or from electric vehicles are disclosed. Systems and methods for incentivizing consumers to participate in a dispatch event or curtail energy use are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090228388
Abstract: A system and method for automated trading of electrical consumption. A plurality of demand bids for energy on a power grid from a plurality of consumers are received, over a network. Each demand bid comprises an identification of a consumer, a quantity of energy, an economic value of the bid, and one or more demand bid criteria. Data relating to the price of energy on the power grid is received over the network. It is then determined, using at least one computing device, if not servicing at least one of the demand bids will decrease the locational marginal price of energy on the power grid. An offer for compensation is then transmitted, over the network, to the load associated with demand bids, wherein the consumer receives the compensation if the consumer does not consume the energy related to the at least one of the demand bids.

  • Patent number: 5529276
Abstract: A frangible guy attachment adapted to be connected between a cable guy and a stationary guy anchor includes first and second elongated coaxial rods. The rods can either be formed as separate elements or can be formed integrally. In both cases the rods are constructed of an elongated rigid structural material. An intermediate coupler is coaxially fixed between the rods. The rigidity of the coupler exceeds that of the rods to concentrate shock bending stresses at an axial transition between one rod and the more rigid coupler. This stress concentration will cause the rod to fracture and break as a result of the sudden impact. A special clevis interconnects the lower end of the lower elongated rod and a conventional guy anchor, preventing subsequent attachment of additional cable guys to the anchor.
