Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a container for dispensing semi-solid products consisting of a cylindrical body having a rounded closed applicator end and an opposite open ended base. A dome shaped product discharge piston is movable through the body beneath the storage chamber driven by a piston drive screw having two flat and two arcuate sides opposed each other for driving the piston upwardly in the cylindrical body to discharge the product. A dial and screw drive ratchet is positioned within said container and has a manually rotatable apron for advancing the screw shaft and piston and is positioned beneath said piston. A base and wrench is positioned at the open end of the container for positioning and supporting the dial and screw drive ratchet to permit the drive screw to be rotated by the dial apron while permitting axial motion of the drive screw through the base and wrench to drive the piston upwardly.

Abstract: A holder is provided for a flexible tubular package of the type used for packaging a consumer product, such as shampoo, liquid soap, cream, lotion, food spread, or a lubricating product. The holder includes a coupling portion with two spaced sidewall portions. Flanges at the lower end of the sidewall portions are in spaced opposed alignment and define therebetween a slot for receiving the neck of the tubular package and the sidewall portions are spaced apart sufficiently to receive the base portion of the tubular package. A web that interconnects the sidewall portions intermediate their ends provides stabilizing support that tends to maintain the flanges in parallel alignment and permits pressure at one end of the sidewall portions that tends to close the slot at the one end to concurrently tend to open the slot at the other end. A support portion that is integral with and an upward extension of the sidewall portions permits the holder to be secured to a support member.

Abstract: A brush assembly comprising a brush portion and a cartridge portion, the brush portion comprising an elongated housing open at a first end thereof, a bristle-retaining wall at a second end thereof, the brush portion housing having therein first connecting structure for releasably connecting the brush portion to the cartridge portion, the cartridge portion comprising a cartridge housing adapted to be inserted in the brush portion by way of the open first end of the brush portion, the cartridge housing defining a chamber adapted to retain a fluid, second connecting structure disposed on the cartridge portion for releasable connection to the first connecting structure, and actuator and valve structure adapted to facilitate movement of the fluid in selected amounts from the cartridge to the bristles of the brush portion.

Abstract: A tampon inserter is disclosed of the type comprising an outer cylindrical insertion tube containing a compressed tampon in its proximal end and an inner plunger or piston axially movable within the outer tube for ejecting the tampon out of the proximal end of the insertion tube into the vagina. The outer insertion tube which is rotatable about the plunger is provided with (a) an outwardly extending annular ring to control the depth of insertion of the inserter and (b) an inwardly directed key or finger which depending upon the degree of rotation of the insertion tube about the plunger will extend into one of a plurality of elongated slots of various lengths positioned in the walls of the inner plunger which (slots) control the length of travel of the plunger and thereby provide a means for varying the depth of insertion of the tampon.

Abstract: A tampon inserter is disclosed of the type in which an insertion tube is pulled outwardly, withdrawing it from the tampon, which is left behind in a body cavity. An easily-assembled three-piece construction is described, which includes an outer tube, a retainer for the tampon fixedly connected within the outer tube, and an insertion tube slidably interposed therebetween. A collar on the outer tube controls depth of insertion.
