  • Publication number: 20240182380
Abstract: A fertilizer composition including a base fertilizer granule with a hydrophobic or super-hydrophobic coating that reduces fertilizer caking and dust formation. The coating can include a roughening component, which creates micron-scale surface roughness, and a hydrophobic coating. Together, the components of the coating act to physically protect water soluble fertilizers granules from the ingress of moisture and from caking, and increase the resistance of the granules to abrasion.

  • Publication number: 20240136651
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a battery system which comprises a plurality of battery cells housed inside a battery enclosure of a battery pack, a venting system, and a suppressing agent. The venting system comprises a dual-staged venting valve that equalizes pressure during normal operation of the battery system and a vent valve that opens to relieve pressure during a high pressure or temperature event. The suppressing agent is released into the enclosure of the battery pack to reduce further reactions by removing or limiting oxidants within the battery pack. A solenoid is coupled to the dual-staged venting valve and seals the dual-staged venting valve following release of the suppressing agent, allowing for the suppressing agent to remain in the enclosure for a longer period of time in order to provide increased mitigation of future thermal events in the battery enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20240081766
Abstract: Perfusion angiography combined with photoplethysmography imaging for peripheral vascular disease assessment A device (13) and method for performing perfusion imaging receive image sequences that are acquired simultaneously by an X-ray imaging apparatus (2) and by a photoplethysmography imaging apparatus (3). When temporally aligned, changes in the perfusion states of a perfused organic tissue over time are extracted from the two image sequences and an image is generated for display on a display unit (5) which indicates the changes in the perfusion states at various locations of the perfused organ tissue, thereby capturing both deep organ tissue and superficial organ tissue perfusion properties. A diminution in an image signal strength in the photoplethysmography images caused by a passage of a bolus comprising a previously administered contrast agent (10) can be used to align the two concurrently acquired image sequences in time.
