Abstract: This abstract refers to a patent of invention for sealing element pertaining to the field of sealing elements, which was improved considering its hydrodynamic sealing and for extending its useful life; this element is basically composed of PTFE circular-crown-shaped body (10), which consists in: sealing zone (12); intermediary coupling zone (13), which is folded upon the assembling of the element against the surface to be sealed; peripheral settlement zone (14); and device (15) destined to provide more flexibility to the PTFE sealing element (10), basically composed of a series of parallel grooves, internal (16) and external (17), located along the perimeter of the internal and external surfaces of the intermediary coupling zone (13) of the PTFE sealing element (10).

Abstract: A sealing device to be used with automotive parts provided with a main PTFE sealing device originally provided with a sufficient amount of rubber material to seal the interstices defined between the sealing surface of the PTFE element and the surface to be sealed to prevent air passage during the engine sealing test applied to the sealing device, wherein the test is conducted by injecting air into the engine.

Abstract: This abstract refers to a patent of invention for sealing element pertaining to the field of sealing devices for automotive use, mainly, which was improved to provide performance superior to the similar conventional product, especially for applications involving eccentric axles or with eccentricities originated from the use or due to other reasons; this improvement consists in the association of the polytetrafluoroethylene sealing element (1), PTFE, to an elastic element (30), arranged to be tensioned whenever the PTFE sealing element (1) suffers radial deformation during the use, as well as to be distended and to accelerate the return of the PTFE sealing element (1) to the original form in conjunction with the axle or other parts sealed (20) when the deformation strengths cease.
