    Abstract: A system for securely delivering packages of at least two different sizes by a sender to a receiver is disclosed comprising, installing an array of lockers of at least two different sizes with the number of lockers of each size based on a predetermined installed ratio, a central control unit for controlling the locking portions on the array of lockers having a locker optimization unit adapted to use data collected on the frequency of use of each size of lockers to recommend a ratio of lockers of each size to maximize usage of lockers of appropriate size in the array, wherein if the recommended ratio is different from the installed ratio, changing the sizes of selected lockers after installation of the array to better match the recommended ratio by replacing doors without removing hinge pins and moving and re-fastening the top and bottom walls of the lockers.

The carrier transport tube network has a first carrier reception chamber provided with a first carrier stop point and a second carrier reception chamber with second carrier stop point. The flow supply tube has a single point contact with the carrier transport tube network to provide a single tube based flow connection with the carrier transport. Also, with the single point connection there can be positioned a brake valve in line with a first section of the carrier transport tube network and in line with a first section of said flow supply tube just a few feet above the stop point of one or both of the reception chambers to provide for rapid travel to the brake valve and efficient braking within just a few feet of the stop point.

    Abstract: A coin roll cassette is disclosed. The cassette is used in a coin roll dispensing apparatus of the type that includes at least one rotatable dispensing wheel. Such dispensing wheel has a device for engaging cassettes therein to retain the cassettes within the wheel, a rotary drive for rotating the dispensing wheel to a dispensing position, and a pusher arm assembly defining a longitudinal axis along which the pusher arm assembly moves. The pusher arm assembly moves reciprocally along the longitudinal axis to enter the cassette and to eject a predetermined number of coin rolls from the cassette when the dispensing wheel is rotated by the drive to place the cassette in the dispense position.

    Abstract: A rolled coin dispensing apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a rotatable dispensing wheel that holds coin rolls, a rotary drive mechanism for rotating the dispensing wheel to a dispense position, and an ejecting mechanism for ejecting a predetermined number of coin rolls from the dispensing wheel. The dispensing wheel has outer and inner wheel structures that support divider members which receive rolled coin cassettes therebetween. The ejecting mechanism includes pusher arms arranged exteriorly of each dispensing wheel and ejector bars, fixed to each arm, that are located interiorly of the outer wheel structure to be pushed into a cassette disposed at the dispense position to obtain coin rolls therefrom. The ejector bars and cassette located at the dispense position are arranged nonradially with respect to the axial center of their cassette wheel.

    Abstract: The present invention is an automatic banking system including a cash dispenser and a rolled coin dispenser in a single apparatus. The rolled coin dispensing apparatus includes a rotatable dispensing wheel that holds coin rolls, a rotary drive mechanism for rotating the dispensing wheel to a dispense position, and an ejecting mechanism for ejecting a predetermined number of coin rolls from the dispensing wheel.     Abstract: A bi-directional pneumatic conveyance system which relies upon a single pumping element, and which bi-directionally conveys an item therethrough based upon the position of the item is disclosed. Such a system has plural stations, sensors for sensing pressures at a designated area in each station, a connective tube network pressure generator that includes a pneumatic source and a valve device for internally arranging such generator to create pressure or vacuum conditions within the network, depending upon the state of the pumping element and the internal arrangement of the valve assembly. A control device responds to pressure indications from the pressure sensors and to operator commands in order to control the valve assembly and the pumping element to selectively depressurize and pressurize the tube network and thereby convey the carrier.

    Abstract: A transaction drawer for efficiently converting the rotational motion of a carrier supporting structure into linear motion of the carrier. The carrier supporting mechanism has a first arm which is supported on a base of the drawer frame, and which pivots about the base. The first arm is pivotably connected to a second arm, which is in turn pivotably connected to the carrier. The second arm and the base are connected by a first transmission assembly, which rotates the second arm about the first arm in response to the first arm's rotation about the base. The first arm and the carrier are connected by a second transmission assembly, which rotates the carrier about the second arm in response to the second arm's rotation about the first arm. The first and second transmission assemblies cooperate to maintain the carrier at a constant angular position relative the drawer frame.

    Abstract: A pressure regulation apparatus, for a bi-directional pneumatic transportation system, has first, second, and third flow chambers with ports provided at two of the chambers. A pumping device alternatively pumps air from the chamber lacking a port to either of the ported chambers. An air dam cooperates with a valve assembly that responds to internal pressures induced by the pumping device to separate one of the ported chambers into sub-chambers and to selectively isolate one of the sub-chambers from the other to bi-directionally control air flow between the ports. The bi-directional pneumatic transportation system in accordance with the present invention incorporates such a pressure regulation apparatus to control transportation of an item between stations connected by a pneumatic tube network.
