  • Patent number: 6023845
Abstract: An electric cigar cutter employs a motor-driven, rotatable cutting blade which functions to trim a cigar by cutting off the tip. The cutting blade pivots, and as it pivots, it passes through the cigar, thereby cutting the tip. The present invention incorporates two safety features, to prevent accidental activation of the cigar cutter and to protect a user's fingers from contacting the cutting blade. Additionally, a mechanism is provided for adjusting the amount of the cigar to be cut off.

  • Patent number: 5176525
Abstract: Modular socket technology is disclosed, which includes a contact board mounted to an electronic device for receiving voltage and current signals to be transmitted from the electronic device to a semiconductor circuit. A compression coupler is provided for receiving the semiconductor circuit. The compression coupler includes a printed circuit board having a plurality of conductors mounted to a first side thereof, and extending to a second side thereof for providing electrical contact between the leads of the semiconductor circuit and the contact board. The contact board further includes a resilient conductor adapted to mechanically and electrically engage the plurality of conductors of the compression coupler, thereby to couple voltage and current signals from the electronic device to the semiconductor circuit. The modular socket apparatus may further include a semiconductor carrier for receiving the semiconductor circuit.

  • Patent number: 4926758
Abstract: A foldable playtray is provided having a table top supported by a pair of legs hinged to the table top in one embodiment in such a way that both surfaces fo the table may be used. One surface of the table is provided with a Lego-type play surface so a child playing with Lego-type toys can detachably secure them to the table. The other surface of the table is flat, for use for games, arts and crafts. The legs can be rotated so they support the table with either its Lego-type play surface or its flat surface on top. In addition, the legs are provided with a Lego-type play surface and can be rotated to be coplanar with the table to provide an extended Lego-type play surface. The legs are also equipped with covered storage compartments for small objects.

  • Patent number: 4860897
Abstract: A disc storage device for holding and storing discs such as computer floppy discs, compact discs, slides and the like. The device comprises a set of modules for holding the discs having a planar surface, four walls surrounding the planar surface holding means to prevent the disc from moving within the module and ejector means for easy removal of the disc from the module. The device may include 12 modules arrayed on an 81/2 by 11" one-piece plastic unit which may be inserted into a ring binder notebook or inserted as a rail file in a filing cabinet.

  • Patent number: 4219817
Abstract: A protection device for a pulsed radar system which generates a random pu train whose pulse spacing is kept between a predetermined maximum and minimum. A jitter coder alters the periodic timing of the clock pulses fed to the radar modulation circuit by means of a jitter code generated by a jitter code generator. The reflected radar signals are decoded in a decoding circuit using the jitter code generated by the jitter code generator.
