  • Patent number: 9693478
Abstract: A half-rack electronics cabinet coupled to a wall mount by two doubly-nested four bar mechanisms that are operable to articulate the cabinet by ninety degrees to bring the back planes of any installed electronic modules to the top for easy access. The function of admitting outside signal and power cables is apportioned to the wall mount. The unit is compact, as the wall mount is no wider than the cabinet. For a half-rack cabinet of sufficient height, crossbars are provided that enable vertical mounting of full-rack electronic modules in the half-rack cabinet along with, preferably, at least one half-rack module.

  • Patent number: 9420716
Abstract: An electronic module installation tool temporarily supports electronic modules in electronic racks. The tool has a frame configured to be inserted into a rack and that has a top surface for supporting an electronics module. A front surface of the frame supports a faceplate and left and right manual clamps having a first pivot for the clamp handle relative to the frame and a second pivot for the clamp relative to the clamp handle. The faceplate extends to the left and right to create flanges that each support a pin carrier that supports rearwardly extending top and bottom vertically arrayed pins that are sized and spaced apart to align with holes in an attachment rail in the rack. A clamp extends between the pins and clamps to the rear side of the rail when the handle is operated. The tools may be made for various sizes of racks.

  • Patent number: 9071899
Abstract: Narrow ceiling speaker panels designed to be compatible with Armstrong® TECHZONE™ suspended ceiling systems that include an end-flanged grill box nested in a baffle that supports a loudspeaker and associated electronics and which is nested in a flanged grill that is sized for compatibility. Attachments are though the grill box end flanges and baffle panel and through grill edge flanges and baffle edge flanges. The loudspeaker and associated electronics are fastened to the top side of the baffle through pre-drilled or punched holes. The grill may have a decorative appearance by virtue of edge style, pattern of holes, color, or finish.

  • Publication number: 20090067663
Abstract: A speaker, having a diaphragm with a central opening and further having a pole piece, including a first sound dispersion element extending from the pole piece through the central opening of the diaphragm and further extending beyond the diaphragm wherein the first sound dispersion element has a larger transverse perimeter distal the pole piece than proximal the pole piece; and no support structures for the first sound dispersion element are located radially external to said first sound dispersion element. The speaker may be integrated with a lamp using a support structure. A second sound dispersion element may be used. A rod, used as a conduit, coupling, and/or support, may extend coaxially with the first sound dispersion element, interior thereto, and to a point beyond the diaphragm. The audio signal for the speaker may be supplied by a wireless link. The speaker and lamp may be configured for a ceiling fan.
