  • Publication number: 20170134392
Abstract: Techniques allow DevOps personnel to perform incident management for cloud computing environments in a manner that maintains control over restricted data and the data plane. The DevOps personnel do not have access to restricted data or the ability to modify the cloud computing environment to gain access to restricted data. The incident management techniques include executing automatic operations to resolve an incident and allowing DevOps personnel to execute remote operations without providing the DevOps personnel access. A further incident management technique provides DevOps personnel with just-in-time (JIT) access that is limited to a certain level or type of access and limited in time. Still another technique for incident management is using an escort model, in which an escort session between operating personnel and DevOps personnel is established and connected to the cloud computing environment to allow the DevOps personnel access to the production environment while escorted by the operating personnel.

  • Publication number: 20160266286
Abstract: A polymer matrix/nanoparticle composite (PMNC) comprises core-shell nanoparticles, where the core is made of a material that is different from the polymer matrix and at least part of the shell is made of the same monomer or polymer that is used for said polymer matrix, or is made of a monomer or polymer compatible with said matrix. The core of the nanoparticles has a refractive index that is different from the refractive index of the polymer used for the matrix, at least the matrix is made of transparent materials that do not absorb light.

  • Publication number: 20130013474
Abstract: A method is provided of modifying a hierarchal cost model of a multi-component system over a time period of the model extending from a historical time to a future time, wherein the model is built from item cost indices, each of which is built from one or more commodity price indices created from market data. The model is stored in memory of a computer system that includes a processor, a user input device and a display. The method includes the steps of selecting an item from the model, selecting a time from the model time period (the selected item time), and inputting a user selected cost of the item for the selected time. The processor modifies the item price index to create a custom item price index based on the input item price, the selected item date, and the item's constituent cost indices, and stores the custom price index in the memory. The method may further include modifying the cost model to create a custom cost model based on the custom item price index, and storing the custom cost model in memory.

  • Patent number: 7170343
Abstract: A fast LUT predistortion apparatus and method for compensating nonlinear distortion of the high power amplifier HPA is disclosed. The apparatus includes a predistortion unit for predistorting an input complex digital signal based on a look up table LUT implementation and outputting a predistorted complex signal; and a power amplifier for amplifying the predistorted signal and outputting an amplified complex signal.

  • Patent number: 5863590
Abstract: A process for producing aseptically packaged tofu product which has an increased storage life and has an improved texture and taste. The process includes steps of extracting soy milk from soy bean, processing the soy milk at ultra-high temperature, and aseptically packaging the processed soy milk. In a preferred embodiment, the ultra-high temperature processing includes preheating the soy milk to a temperature of between 60.degree. C. and 105.degree. C., deaerating the soy milk, homogenizing the soy milk in a two stage homogenization process, sterilizing the soy milk by heating to between 129.degree. C. and 145.degree. C. for 2-30 seconds, cooling the sterilized soy milk first in a pre-cooler to a temperature of between 40.degree. C. and 65.degree. C., and then cooling the soy milk to a temperature of between 10.degree. C. and 30.degree. C. in a final cooler.
