  • Patent number: 9632225
Abstract: A zoned waveplate has a series of transversely stacked birefringent zones alternating with non-birefringent zones. The birefringent and non-birefringent zones are integrally formed upon an AR-coated face of a single substrate by patterning the AR coated face of the substrate with zero-order sub-wavelength form-birefringent gratings configured to have a target retardance. The layer structure of the AR coating is designed to provide the target birefringence in the patterned zones and the reflection suppression.

  • Patent number: 9588374
Abstract: A sub-wavelength thin-film metal grating is placed inside a liquid crystal variable optical retarder at a selected distance from a reflective electrode to form a reflective half wave plate, thereby reducing polarization dependence of the optical retardation generated by the variable optical retarder. The approach enables to form within the device the reflective half wave plate that is suitably thin without modifying the reflective electrode of the device.

  • Publication number: 20170041843
Abstract: An example method for inter-Mobile Switching Center (MSC) handover of a mobile device includes requesting, by an anchor MSC subsequent to sending a Mobile Application Part (MAP) Prepare Handover message, the International Mobile Equipment Identity and Software Version Number (IMEISV) from the mobile device. The anchor MSC receives the IMEISV of the mobile device in response to the requesting and forwards the IMEISV and/or a corresponding UESBI-Iu in a message to a target MSC. The MAP Prepare Handover message may have been forwarded without the IMEISV of the mobile device when such IMEISV was not yet available at the time the inter-MSC handover was initiated. The IMEISV and/or corresponding User Equipment Specific Behaviour Information (UESBI)-Iu may be forwarded in new Information Elements (IEs) in a MAP Forward Access Signaling (FAS) message to the target MSC.

  • Publication number: 20170006461
Abstract: A call loop avoidance capability is provided for preventing formation of a call loop resulting from handling of a mobile terminated (MT) call in parallel with a location update for a mobile device (MD) in a wireless communication network. The call loop avoidance capability prevents formation of a call loop between an old mobility and call management entity (MCME) and a new MCME when delivery of an MT call to an MD is performed while the MD is in the process of moving from the old MCME to the new MCME using a location update procedure. An enhanced call routing procedure supports direct delivery of the MT call from the new MCME to the MD (rather than delivery of the MT call by the new MCME to the MD via the old MCME) in order to prevent formation of a call loop between the old MCME and the new MCME.

  • Publication number: 20160370658
Abstract: The present application provides a display substrate and a display device. The display substrate includes a display region and a non-display region, a surface layer of the display region being rubbed to form an alignment layer, the non-display region being provided with a test electrode, the test electrode including multiple strip-shaped first sub-electrodes, the extending direction of the first sub-electrodes being the same with the direction of the rubbing for forming the alignment layer. By dividing the test electrode into multiple strip-shaped first sub-electrodes and the extending direction of the first sub-electrodes (i.e., the length direction) being the same as the rubbing direction of the rubbing to form an alignment layer, the display substrate can make the alignment of the alignment layer formed by the rubbing consistent and uniform, thereby avoiding the occurrence of Rubbing Mura when the alignment layer is formed by the rubbing.

  • Patent number: 9404894
Abstract: A standing wave amplification device for vibration signal collection includes a sensing rod (11) acting as standing wave transmission medium. A standing wave formation device includes two fixing support devices (12) distributed along the axial direction and connecting the sensing rod (11) to an operating arm (14). The two fixing support devices (12) respectively collect vibration waves and transmit them to the sensing rod (11) from two different locations of the operating arm (14). The vibration waves are superimposed to form a standing wave on the sensing rod (11). A vibration sensor (13) is connected to the sensing rod (11) and the vibration sensor (13) is between the two fixing support devices (12). A wave detected by the vibration sensor (13) is the standing wave. Compared with transverse wave or longitudinal wave transmitted in the transmission medium of prior art, the standing wave has advantages of larger amplitude and more obvious vibration effect.
