  • Patent number: 10382511
Abstract: A guest digital device joins a playback session hosted by a host digital device and synchronizes playback of digital media content with playback on the host digital device. This enables multiple users to listen to or view media at the same time on their respective devices. A time-based synchronization process may be used to initially synchronize playback of the guest digital device to the host digital device. If synchronization is lost, the device may record and analyze audio during playback and a fingerprint-based synchronization approach may be applied that detects a time offset between fingerprints in the analyzed audio. If synchronization is still not achieved, a watermark-based synchronization approach may be applied in which watermarks are actively injected into the audio and the time offsets between the watermarks is detected.

  • Publication number: 20170034263
Abstract: Playback of an audio stream is synchronized on multiple connected digital devices by using synchronization fingerprints. Playback actions may furthermore be synchronized on all devices, such as skips and pauses. Furthermore, synchronization may be maintained even in the presence of variations in decoding speed, playback interruptions, and network disconnections. Synchronized playback of streamed audio content on multiple devices is achieved by devices compensating for time drifting induced by network instability and variable playback speed across master and guest devices to reduce the formation of echoes during playback.

  • Patent number: 8905142
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a guide frame (10) for location at one or more points along the length of a riser tower structure (112,114). The riser tower structure is of a type that has an upper end supported at a depth below the sea surface and has a central core (200) with one or more conduits (220) arranged therearound extending from the seabed toward the surface. In use, the guide frame guides the conduit (s) relative to the central core, said guide frame (10) being attachable to said riser tower structure non-continuously (40,50), thereby not becoming an integral part of said riser tower structure. Also disclosed is a riser tower comprising such guide frames.

  • Patent number: 8847947
Abstract: A system for tolerancing geometrical templates upgrades the geometrical template to include a unique identifier and index corresponding to each sub-feature of the template. The upgraded template is associated to a set of 3D annotations and the association is stored in a catalog which uses the unique identifier as an index. Upon instantiation of the geometrical template, a list of corresponding tolerance templates are retrieved and displayed for selection, and a selected tolerance template is then instantiated onto the geometrical template.
