  • Publication number: 20220364376
Abstract: A self-climbing platform adapted to movably attach to, and hang from, a vertical structure for supporting a load with a cable connected to a main support connector comprising a retaining strap configured to surround at least a portion of the vertical structure, an adjustment lock attached to the retaining strap and a bracket. The bracket comprising an upper member connecting on one side to an adjustment bar and to a second side of a lower member to form a triangulated structure configured to a cantilevered position with respect to the vertical structure. The cable supporting the platform is connected to the bracket in a manner permitting transmission of the force required to support the self-climbing platform in a direction angled towards the vertical structure. The platform can rotate 360° around a tree or pole and can be used in forestry, civil or recreational fields.

  • Publication number: 20090099376
Abstract: Methods of preparing and purifying 9-nitrominocycline and 9-aminominocycline and salts thereof used in the process of making tigecycline, are disclosed. In one embodiment, the invention is directed to a method of preparing the compound of formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, comprising: (a) reacting nitric acid with the compound of formula 2, or a salt thereof, to produce a reaction mixture comprising an intermediate; and (b) further reacting the intermediate to form the compound of formula 1, wherein the intermediate is isolated from the reaction mixture, the method further comprising sparging with an inert gas prior to step (a).

  • Patent number: 6929200
Abstract: The method for preventing asbestos from freeing airborne particles comprises sequentially heating and the asbestos in the following surrounding temperatures values and maintaining the asbestos in these surrounding temperature values until the asbestos changes to the following corresponding colors: a) between 125° F. (52° C.) and 175° F. (79° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform pale russet-red color; b) between 225° F. (107° C.) and 275° F. (135° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform dark russet-red color; c) between 325° F. (163° C.) and 375° F. (191° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform dark orange color; d) between 425° F. (218° C.) and 475° F. (246° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform red color; e) between 525° F. (274° C.) and 575° F. (302° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform grey color; and f) between 625° F. (329° C.) and 675° F. (357° C.) until the asbestos changes to a uniform opaque white color.

  • Patent number: 6564663
Abstract: A transmission system for a straddle vehicle offers an automatic mode based on preprogrammed values for consistent shifting each time certain engine conditions are encountered. A variety of preset shifting parameters may be provided to allow different shifting modes. By this, an operator can select the degree of aggressiveness of the transmission. The automatic transmission may be modulated so that a preset shifting delay is provided to allow the operator to experience the sensation of shifting.
