  • Patent number: 5752681
Abstract: A pipe and cable clamp is formed of a base part (5) and a receiving strap (6). To assure that a pipe or cable positioned in a receiving space between the clamp and a surface of a structural component is adequately retained, where the receiving strap forms two receiving spaces (8, 9) located laterally from the base part, a spring arm (7) is located in the receiving space (8) closer to the base part (5) in the event a pipe or cable of larger diameter is located in the receiving space more remote from the base part. The spring arm (7) extends outwardly from the base part (5) and projects in an unloaded state into the receiving space (8) closer to the base part (5).

  • Patent number: 5669589
Abstract: A pipe and cable clamp is formed of a base part (1) and a generally arcuately shaped receiving strap (2) extending outwardly from the base part. A joint (3) is located in the receiving strap (2) spaced from the free end (2a) and the joint is shaped so that the free end region extending from the joint can be folded into a receiving space bounded by the receiving strap. As a result, pipes and cables of different diameters can be secured to the structural member, so that the free end region 2b is folding into receiving space when smaller diameter pipes and cables are clamped, and the free end region 2b is prevented from folding outwardly if larger diameter pipes are clamped, so that the free end region assists in securing the pipes and cable of larger diameter.

  • Patent number: 5651489
Abstract: A fastening element setting tool includes a housing (1), an axially displaceable guide sleeve (2) located within the housing, a bolt guide (3) extending forwardly from the guide sleeve, and a receiving sleeve (4) partially laterally enclosing and axially displaceable relative to the bolt guide (3). The receiving sleeve (4) and the bolt guide (3) are telescopically displaceable relative to one another by an amount in the range of 3 to 5 times the outside diameter of the bolt guide. A protective sleeve (5) at least partially laterally encloses and is axially displaceable relative to the receiving sleeve (4). In the course of its axial displacement relative to the receiving sleeve (4), the protective sleeve (5) strikes against a leading end face (1a) of the housing (1) and prevents the full displacement of the guide sleeve (2) into a position ready for ignition of the tool.

  • Patent number: 5624220
Abstract: An attachment member arranged to be secured to a surface of a hard receiving material by an explosive powder charge operated setting tool is formed of a fastening element (1), such as a nail, and a prestressing element (2). The prestressing element assures a sound attachment by bridging differences in the depth to which the nail is driven. To increase its surface contacting the surface of the hard receiving material, the prestressing element is laterally enclosed at least in part by a plastics material part (3) so that the pressure of the attachment member in contact with the receiving material and the danger of tilting of the setting tool relative to the receiving material are reduced. Further, a recess (3b) is formed in the plastics material part (3) to improve guidance between the prestressing element (2) and a bolt guide (4) of the setting tool.

  • Patent number: 5569010
Abstract: Attachment member unit includes an axially extending shank (1) with a load engagement part (2) at its trailing end. The shank has a pointed tip (3) at its leading end. A prestressing element (4) laterally encloses the pointed tip (3). The prestressing element is formed of a sleeve part (4a) and a bearing part (4b). The bearing part forms the leading end of the prestressing element and the sleeve part forms its trailing end. A recess (4c) extends into the bearing part from the leading end. The recess (4c) has a diameter such that the trailing end portion of the prestressing element under deforming forces can telescope into the bearing part. When the attachment member unit is driven, the prestressing element (4) causes a prestress against a connector member (7) and due to the telescoping action and also a dampening action, the connector member can be fastened to a receiving material (8) by the shank (1), and the connecting member is not damaged.
