  • Publication number: 20100089941
Abstract: An apparatus for storing and dispensing a plurality of packages (28) comprises a first region (2) having a plurality of shelves (4) accessible by a storage and picking device (6) and a second region (12) having a plurality of channels (24), each for receiving a plurality of packages (28) and each of which comprises independent ejection means. The storage and picking device (6) is adapted to be able to fill the channels (24) in the second region (12). The apparatus further comprises conveying means (30) associated with the second region for removing packages (28) ejected from the second region (12).

  • Patent number: 7527139
Abstract: An apparatus for storing and dispensing of a plurality of items of stock (34) such as pharmaceuticals comprises a plurality of storage regions (20), e.g. shelves (26) and a dispensing station (48). The storage regions (20) are arranged to circulate around a continuous path (10) such that each storage region (20) is periodically brought into alignment with the dispensing station (48) so as to allow items to be removed from the storage region (20) at the dispensing station (48).

  • Publication number: 20070102109
Abstract: An automated pharmaceutical dispensing system comprises a retrieval subsystem (4) for selecting and retrieving a pharmaceutical pack (38). The retrieval subsystem (4) is arranged to deliver the pack (38) to a labelling station (6). The labelling station (6) comprises a label printer (18) arranged to print a label (36) comprising information specific to a patient for whom said pharmaceutical pack (38) is intended and a label applicator subsystem (22) for applying the label (36) to the pack (38). The system further comprises a delivery subsystem (8) for delivering the pack from the labelling station to a user-accessible point. The label applicator can apply the label (36) in a way determined by a dimension of the pack (38)—e.g. at a predetermined position, predetermined orientation or across two discrete planes of the pack (38).
