  • Publication number: 20050048832
Abstract: A modular interface connection system having a receiver and a test adapter. The receiver includes a non-circular torsion shaft for providing improved strength and ease of assembly and a cover for providing safety. The test adapter has a frame, a shield, and one or more bushings, which provides easy access to contacts, patchcords and modules in the test adapter for troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.

  • Patent number: 5183395
Abstract: A variable capacity rotary screw compressor having a rotor housing including a bore, an inlet, an outlet, a slide valve recess and rotors. Passive and active slide valves are mounted in the recess. Individual passive and active slide valve balancing units are connected to the passive and active slide valves respectively. A prime mover is connected to selectively regulate the position of the active slide valve. A first conduit is connected between the housing inlet and the passive and active slide valve balancing units and includes a first valve operable to either open or close the first conduit. A second conduit is connected in fluid communication between the outlet and the passive and active slide valve balancing units and includes a second valve operable to either open or close the second conduit. A first sensor provides a first signal proportional to suction pressure. A second sensor provides a second signal proportional to discharge pressure.

  • Patent number: 5085518
Abstract: A bearing and seal assembly for supporting a rotor for rotation about an axis in a rotor receiving bore of a rotating machine which is concentric to the axis of rotation. The bearing and seal assembly includes a nonrotatable bearing support member dimensioned to loosely fit inside the rotor bore so as to be radially movable relative to the axis of rotation. A bearing receiving portion is provided on the bearing support that holds a bearing which mounts the rotor on the bearing support member. A seal is nonrotatably mounted on the bearing support and has an outer peripheral portion dimensioned to have a close tolerance nonrotating fit with an inner peripheral surface of the rotor bore; an inner peripheral portion; and an nonrotating sealing surface dimensioned to have a close tolerance sealing relationship with a rotating sealing surface on the rotor.

  • Patent number: 4579513
Abstract: In a screw volumetric machine, a slide is slidable in a groove along a bore accommodating the screw. This slide is movable to vary the delivery and/or compression ratio. One end of the groove communicates with the low pressure. The other end of the groove communicates with the high pressure. A separation wall separates the two pressures behind the slide. The slide is leak-tightly urged against a free end of the separation wall by holding means which slidingly retain the slide in the groove.

  • Patent number: 4570451
Abstract: A membrane innerly divides a body in two rooms, one of which is subjected to a first pressure of the ratio of pressures which is to be compared to a threshold. In the other room, there is a gas in pressure equilibrium with its condensate; this gas is in thermal contact with another gas which is also in pressure equilibrium with its condensate and which is subjected to the second pressure of the pressure ratio. The forces on the membrane balance each other when the ratio equals the threshold. The threshold is equal to the ratio between the pressure of the two gases in equilibrium with their condensate. This threshold is substantially stable when the temperature varies. The membrane is connected to control means.
