    Abstract: A method and device allowing a physiological signal, typically representative of brain activity, to be transcribed in the form of sensory signals perceptible to a human user, typically acoustic signals is provided. For this purpose, a physiological signal is acquired and then analysed in such a way as to detect therein patterns that are then parameterised in the time domain. One or more parameters of these patterns are used to determine one or more parameters of the generated sensory signals and/or to determine one or more parameters of temporal envelopes used to modulate the sensory signals. This method and device can be applied, in particular, to neuro-acoustic transduction.

    Abstract: A dual magnetic tunnel junction (DMTJ) is disclosed with a PL1/TB1/free layer/TB2/PL2 configuration wherein a first tunnel barrier (TB1) has a substantially lower resistance×area (RA1) product than RA2 for an overlying second tunnel barrier (TB2) to provide an acceptable magnetoresistive ratio (DRR). Moreover, first and second pinned layers, PL1 and PL2, respectively, have magnetizations that are aligned antiparallel to enable a lower critical switching current that when in a parallel alignment. The condition RA1<RA2 is achieved with one or more of a smaller thickness and a lower oxidation state for TB1 compared with TB2, with conductive (metal) pathways formed in a metal oxide or metal oxynitride matrix for TB1, or with a TB1 containing a dopant to create conducting states in the TB1 band gap. Alternatively, TB1 may be replaced with a metallic spacer to improve conductivity between PL1 and the FL.

    Abstract: A method for compensating for a temperature drift of an accelerometer for measuring the lateral tilt of a motorbike. When the vehicle is in the “bike upright” condition, and the temperature of the accelerometer is at least 30° C. above its reference temperature, a reading is taken of the acceleration values. These values are then processed in order to identify the coefficient of the slope of the straight line for correcting the offset of each axis of the accelerometer. A processing operation involves verifying the strict monotony of the coefficients in at least two successive readings and ensuring that the mean value thereof is included between determined limits. The mean coefficient that is finally obtained then can be used to correct the temperature of accelerations read over the entire operating range of the accelerometer. Thus, the computation of the tilt angle of the motorbike is more precise.
