  • Publication number: 20230334423
Abstract: A system for sharing consumable inventory in a laboratory management system includes a middleware software component controlled by a processor, a plurality of instruments operatively coupled to the middleware software component, and a consumable item to be removably installed in a first selected instrument. The consumable item is used by the first selected instrument to perform tests, where the first selected instrument partially depletes the consumable item. The first selected instrument is to update status and usage information regarding the consumable item. A consumables database is operatively coupled to the middleware software component and the processor is to store the updated status and usage information in the consumables database corresponding to the consumable item. The consumables database is accessible by the plurality of instruments such that a second selected instrument performs tests using the partially depleted consumable item, based on the corresponding updated status and usage information.

  • Publication number: 20220400986
Abstract: A method can include receiving, using one or more processors, a first record including a first data associated with a personal identification from a first database, receiving, using the one or more processors, a second record including a second data associated with a user identification from a second database, pairing, using the one or more processors, the first data and the second data based upon a shared data item contained in the first record and the second record, and displaying, using one or more processors, a report based upon the first data and the second data.

  • Patent number: 10532360
Abstract: The system for management of rack and tube positions for clinical chemistry laboratories includes tubes (10) capable of containing human biological material, a rack (20) configured for receiving and/or holding the tubes (10) to be stocked, a supporting base (30) configured for supporting the rack (20) thereon, a reader (50) configured for reading an identifier (RID) of the rack (20) to be put onto the supporting base (30) and an identifier (TID) of the tube to be put into the rack (20), a camera (40) for detecting the rack (20) on the supporting base (30), and at least one of the tubes (10) into the rack (20), a processing unit (60) for mapping the detected rack (20) into a plurality of allowed positions (Pi) and the detected tube (10) into a tube position (P) included in the plurality of allowed positions (Pi).

  • Publication number: 20180032954
Abstract: A system for sharing consumable inventory in a laboratory management system includes a middleware software component controlled by a processor, a plurality of instruments operatively coupled to the middleware software component by at least one communications network, and a consumable item configured to be removably installed in a first selected instrument of the plurality of instruments. The consumable item is used by the first selected instrument to perform tests specified by the laboratory management system where the first selected instrument partially depletes the consumable item. The first selected instrument is configured to update status and usage information regarding the consumable item. A consumables database is operatively coupled to the middleware software component and the processor is configured to store the updated status and usage information in the consumables database corresponding to the consumable item.
