Inside the body is arranged a fixed electromagnetic induction heating system including one or more inductors interacting electromagnetically with the mantle to produce induced electric currents in the same mantle, the inductors being arranged near the radially innermost surface of the mantle. In the machine is arranged a structured web configured for transporting a sheet of fibrous material up to the contact of the latter with the mantle of the Yankee.

Abstract: Paper making machine comprising a forming zone in which a layer of fibrous material is formed, a zone for forced removal of water from the fibrous material layer downstream of the forming zone, a drying zone downstream of the forced removal of the water, and a paper collection zone downstream of the drying zone, and means for transporting the layer of fibrous material through said zones of the machine along a path that follows a predetermined transport direction (MD). The forced water removal zone comprises, in turn, two consecutive zones (Z1, Z2) along said transport direction (MD), in which a capillary roller (44) and a pressure element (4S) with a respective counter-roller (4C) are respectively arranged, acting consecutively on the layer of fibrous material upstream of the drying zone.

The apparatus (10) includes an applicator having a first and a second end, the applicator (16) defining a feeding chamber (22) for the reception therein of the coating material (12). The applicator (16) includes a fixed lip (24) which extends from the feeding chamber (22) towards the web (14). A movable lip (26) extends from the feeding chamber (22) such that when the movable lip (26) is disposed in a first disposition thereof, the movable lip (26) cooperates with the fixed lip (24) for defining therebetween a slot for guiding the coating material (12) from the feeding chamber (22) towards the moving web (14). However, when the movable lip (26) is pivoted away from the fixed lip (24) to a second and third disposition thereof, flushing and cleaning of the applicator (16) is permitted.
