The comb includes a support frame, a series of comb teeth each having a frontal portion and a rear portion, wherein the comb teeth extend from the support frame. The support frame includes a frontal connector bar and a rear connector plate, wherein the frontal portions of the comb teeth extend from the frontal connector bar. The frontal connector bar is inwardly curved towards the rear connector plate, such that a central portion of the frontal connector bar is rearwardly offset from lateral portions thereof. Also described herein is a hair cutting appliance that is equipped with such a spacing comb.

Abstract: In order to improve hair debris collection, it is proposed to position a cut-hair-blocking element 18 with a partitioned barrier/shield 28 in front of a cutting arrangement 12 of a hair-cutting apparatus 10. Examples of the partitioned barrier/shield include e.g. a rigid comb shield 28a with spacings between teeth, a rigid comb barrier 28b with flexible material between teeth, and a fully flexible barrier. The partitioned barrier/shield allows hair to be cut to enter a cutting zone 20, but prevents cut hair from flying off.

Abstract: An attachment comb, particularly a skin protecting comb, for a blade set of a cutting head of a hair cutting appliance, the attachment comb including a supporting frame and comb teeth that are arranged in a series and that define a skin contact zone at a top side thereof. The teeth extend from the supporting frame and include rounded tips at frontal ends thereof. Additionally, the teeth are non-uniform along the series and include two outer lateral teeth that define lateral ends of the series, along with central teeth arranged therebetween.
