  • Publication number: 20240088962
Abstract: A wireless communication system architecture communicates data between one or more first data points and one or more second data points via a wireless communication link extending from a first end to which the one or more first data points are connected and a second end to which the one or more second data points are connected. The wireless communication link includes a first RF communication channel and a second RF communication channel. The first RF communication channel is independent from the second RF communication channel, and the same data is transmitted from the one or more first data points to the one or more second data points along both the first RF communication channel and the second RF communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20230375699
Abstract: A system including a radar system. The radar system may include a transmit antenna, a receive antenna, and a controller. The controller may be configured to: determine or obtain information indicative of at least one of a phase of flight or an environmental condition; determine or obtain information indicative of a mission associated with the determined phase of flight and/or environmental condition; and based at least on the determined mission and the determined phase of flight and/or the environmental condition, tune radar parameters of the radar system to values to fulfill the determined mission associated with the determined phase of flight and/or environmental condition. The radar system may be reprogrammable by tuning the radar parameters to operate over any of a collection of phases of flight, any of a collection of environmental conditions, and any of a collection of missions.

  • Publication number: 20230296727
Abstract: A system for monitoring the functioning of a plurality of radiating elements in an antenna array of a radar, the radiating elements (1) being positioned beneath a radome (6); the system comprising a plurality of probes (7) arranged to be embedded in or attached to a surface of the radome to measure parameters of a field radiated from the array of radiating elements, means for acquiring (100) the measured parameters from the probes and for processing (102) the measured parameters to identify faulty operation of one or more of the radiating elements based on the measured parameters and to identify the one or more radiating elements identified as having faulty operation.

  • Publication number: 20230296749
Abstract: A method of phase-code alignment of one or more phase-coded frequency-modulated continuous wave (PC-FMCW) signals received at a PC-FMCW radar system, is disclosure. The method may include monitoring the amplitude of a phase-coded received signal and whenever a change in the square amplitude of the phase-coded received signal is detected, the signal may be multiplied by a delayed version of the phase code to generate an uncoded signal.

  • Publication number: 20230170981
Abstract: A communication system comprising: a pulse generation system comprising one or more pulse repetition frequency (PRF) oscillators and one or more pulse generators wherein each PRF oscillator is connected to a pulse generator, and wherein each pulse generator is configured to generate a pulse; and three or more transmitters 310aN, wherein each transmitter is connected to the pulse generation system and wherein the pulse generation system is configured to send a pulse to each transmitter, each transmitter comprising: a pulse delay block configured to introduce a time delay to the pulse sent to the transmitter; and an antenna 314a-N.

  • Publication number: 20230010517
Abstract: A method of transmitting a message from a sender (101) to a receiver (102) is provided, wherein the communication between the sender (101) and receiver (102) is performed using a hybrid automatic-repeat-request (HARQ) protocol. Artificial noise is added digitally to a first data packet in order to trigger transmission of a second data packet. Corresponding artificial noise is added digitally to the second data packet such that the receiver device (102) can process the data packets together to remove the introduced artificial noise and extract the desired message. Also disclosed are methods where artificial noise is added to a predetermined set of plural data packets in a similar fashion.

  • Publication number: 20210229952
Abstract: An elevator system (2) comprises an elevator car (4a-d) that is moveable within a hoistway (6a-d). The elevator car (4a-d) comprises a first wireless communication unit (12a-d). A controller (8a-d) is arranged to communicate with the elevator car (4a-d) , the controller (8a-d) comprising a second wireless communication unit (14a-d). The first and second wireless communication units (12a-d, 14a-d) are arranged to exchange elevator operational data using a wireless communication protocol. Each data symbol within a set of data symbols corresponding to the elevator operational data is modulated onto a plurality of orthogonal sub-carriers using an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation scheme. The modulated plurality of orthogonal sub-carriers are transmitted between the first and second wireless communication units (12a-d, 14a-d) over a wireless interface (16a-d).
