  • Patent number: 11493088
Abstract: A rolling bearing unit provided with a radially outer ring having an assembly groove, two radially inner rings, two series of rolling elements interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner rings and defining between them a first internal grease reservoir. The groove is arranged in an axially intermediate position with respect to the two radially inner rings and a grease dispensing device is housed inside the groove of the radially outer ring and is in turn provided with a second grease reservoir formed inside the radially outer ring and communicating with the first reservoir via the groove. A permeable retaining wall housed is inside the groove so as to retain the grease inside the second reservoir and allow it to flow out towards the first reservoir during operation of the bearing unit, dispensing it in a controlled manner.

  • Publication number: 20120045155
Abstract: A sealed hub-bearing assembly for agricultural applications includes a hub-bearing unit 10 with a flanged outer ring 11 and a pair of radially inner stationary rings 16, 17 tightly mounted side to side. A sealing device 20 is mounted on a side of the hub-bearing unit 10 opposite to the side of the flange 12 and includes a sealing gasket 32 which is arranged to slide against the outer ring 11 and it is mounted by snap-action in a circumferential groove 18 formed in the inner ring 17 located farthest from the side of the flange 12.

  • Patent number: 6095291
Abstract: A disc or drum brake member is usually connected to the flange of the bearing of a motor vehicle wheel; possible manufacturing errors in the flange of the bearing, and/or the brake member cause, on tightening the wheel to the flange, deformations in the bearing tracks and the active surfaces of the brake member; to avoid this, an elastically-yielding connection element is interposed, connected to the bearing on one side and the brake member on the other side, and constituted by a bell of sheet metal, dimensioned to present a high torsional rigidity associated with a limited axial rigidity to absorb and neutralise the tensions produced on tightening the screws holding the wheel to the flange of the bearing, even in the presence of manufacturing errors on the corresponding facing surfaces of the parts to be joined.
