  • Publication number: 20200320835
Abstract: There is provided a device for rendering haptic feedback to a user and method for operating the device to render the haptic feedback to the user of the device. The device comprises a first part operable to apply a non-invasive action on a part of the body of the user and a second part operable to be held by the user and to render haptic feedback to the user. At least one sensor signal indicative of an interaction between the first part of the device and the 5 part of the body of the user is acquired (402). The acquired at least one sensor signal is processed to determine haptic feedback representative of the interaction between the first part of the device and the part of the body of the user (404). • Publication number: 20190261923
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to a sensor patch that can be temporarily removed and re-applied in the same location using a side element of the sensor patch. The side element can be folded onto the sensor patch when the sensor patch is adhered to an object such as an appendage of a person. The side element can be unfolded and adhered to the appendage in order to preserve the placement of the sensor patch on the appendage. In this way, maintenance such as cleaning can be performed on the area where the sensor patch is located without having to dispose of the sensor patch. Once maintenance is completed, the side element can be folded back onto a surface of the sensor patch until maintenance is to be performed again.

  • Patent number: 10091428
Abstract: A device reader for receiving data from a separate device comprises a display and a first antenna for receiving data from the separate device. The first antenna has a device reader antenna position relative to the display. A display processor displays an image of at least part of the separate device on the display. The image has an associated image antenna position corresponding to a position in the image of an antenna in the separate device. The image is displayed such that the image antenna position is aligned with the device reader antenna position. The image may be determined from a non-customized image of the separate device by e.g. rotation, scaling and positioning based on a display characteristic of the display, such as specifically a size, resolution or pixel-size. The approach may facilitate a user in aligning a device with a device reader when using short-range communication, such as e.g. NFC communication.
