  • Patent number: 12006860
Abstract: A turbocharger and method of controlling the same includes a turbine housing comprising an inlet and an outlet, turbine wheel coupled to a shaft. The turbine housing comprising a first scroll and a second scroll for fluidically coupling the inlet and the turbine wheel. The first scroll has a first end adjacent the inlet and a second end adjacent the turbine wheel. The second scroll has a third end adjacent the inlet and a fourth end adjacent the turbine wheel. An exhaust gas diverter valve is coupled to the turbine housing restricting flow into the first scroll or the second scroll.

  • Publication number: 20230271612
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for operating a vehicle in a K-turn mode. The K-turn mode is engaged in response to determining that an amount that at least one of the front wheels of the vehicle is turned exceeds a turn threshold. While operating in the K-turn mode, forward torque is provided to the front wheels of the vehicle. Further, backward torque is provided to the rear wheels of the vehicle. Yet further, the rear wheels of the vehicle remain substantially in static contact with a ground while the front wheels slip in relation to the ground.

  • Patent number: 11685263
Abstract: A system for managing motor torque in a vehicle determines a stall metric corresponding to motor speed and determines a torque limit based on the stall metric. The system determines a desired torque value, and determines whether to generate a modification to one or more baseline torque commands based on the desired torque value and the torque limit. If the baseline torque command is not to be modified, the system generates the one or more baseline torque commands corresponding to one or more motors. If the baseline torque is to be modified, the system generates one or more modified torque commands corresponding to the one or more motors based on the modification and on the one or more baseline torque commands. The modified torque command may include a minimum value that is less than the torque limit and a maximum value that corresponds to a wheel slip torque.
