  • Patent number: 11242269
Abstract: A system and a method for reusing waste water from a Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtering process are described, said system including: a Reverse Osmosis (RO) filtration system, from which a flow of highly alkaline waste water results; two tanks intended to receive waste water and able to alternately determine the physical and chemical properties of waste water through sensors or, and perform homogenization, chlorination and chemical treatments of said waste water; an output line which comprises a pump and connects the tanks to a reservoir; and said reservoir being able to blend the water treated by the tanks with treated chlorinated drinking water, depending on the physical and chemical properties of these volumes of water; the chlorination and chemical treatment includes addition of a hypochlorite compound, which reaction releases chlorine in the waste water and causes evaporation of at least O2 and H2 gases, reducing the alkaline pH of said waste water.

  • Patent number: 8538782
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for data submission management of insurance application data by a host data processing system. The invention comprises authenticating the submission of data relative to an insurance applicant. The authenticated data is matched with a set of data points and merged to create a submission to be matched with a set of price points in a quotation routine to establish a quote. The quote is then accepted or rejected by the applicant. If accepted, then the applicant is bound conditionally. A policy is then issued to the applicant in respect of the quote. Subsequently, a set of endorsements may be added to the policy. A policy information routine for matching the insurance application data to a set of data fields is initiated to establish a living folder which can be the source of data for populating other routines, system folders, or report generators.

  • Publication number: 20110146109
Abstract: An article of footwear comprising a sole and at least one strap connected to the sole, a mounting base permanently affixed to the strap and a modular light unit removably mounted to the base. The modular light unit contains a light, a power source and a switch between the power source and light operable to energize and denergize the light.

  • Publication number: 20100022697
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for microencapsulation of phase change materials based on free radicals polymerization comprising: a) the preparation of i) a solution with, at least, a hydrophilic liquid and a stabilizer (continuous phase) and ii) a solution with, at least, a phase change material, a free radical initiator and a polymerizable material (discontinuous phase); b) the preparation of an emulsion by dispersing the discontinuous phase in the continuous phase under vigorous stirring; and c) the polymerization of monomers until the phase change material becomes microencapsulated. This process is simple and effective and avoids the use of hazardous compounds. The invention also relates to microcapsules obtainable by said process and to the use thereof in the thermal protection and storage of heat.
