The housing comprises a cable retaining surface, each of the at least one cable spool extends above the cable retaining surface, each of the at least one retainer is secured to an outer free end of a respective one of the at least one cable spool and each of the at least one retainer comprises a pair of fingers extending outwards from the central portion in order to prevent optic fibers held within the cassette from being dislodged from the cable retaining surface.

    Abstract: An enclosure for receiving a fiber optic cassette is disclosed comprising a housing having cassette receiving housing portion and a fiber optic cassette receiving rack which fits in the cassette receiving housing portion. The cassette receiving rack comprises a pair of opposed elongate guide members extending parallel to and be spaced apart from one another. A first end of the rack is secured in the cassette receiving space between the top wall and the bottom wall for rotation about an axis between a first position, where the rack is received in at least a portion the cassette receiving housing portion and the at least one door is closed, and a second position wherein a second end of the rack is positioned outside the cassette receiving space and the at least one door is open. The opposed guide members receive each of the at least one fiber optic cassettes therebetween.

    Abstract: A reversible fiber optic cassette for mounting in a rack comprising a cassette receiving tray, the tray comprising a plurality of cassette engaging features is disclosed. The cassette comprises a cassette body comprising optic fiber receptacles arranged along a front of thereof, a multifiber receptacle along a back thereof and a plurality of optic fiber segments each between a respective one of the optic fiber receptacles and the multifiber receptacle, and a securing component comprising a main part comprising a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, a cassette engaging part extending from the first surface for engaging with the cassette body, a tray engaging feature extending from the second surface and engageable with one of the cassette engaging features. The reversible securing component is secureable on either side of the cassette body using the cassette engaging feature.

    Abstract: A reversible fiber optic cassette is disclosed for mounting in one of a first orientation and a second reversed orientation on a tray a plurality of stabilizing slots. At least one stabilizing member is held within a respective aperture in a cassette bottom such that an L-shaped slot engaging portion extends above the first surface and a second L-shaped slot engaging portion extends above the second surface. Each of the second L-shaped slot engaging portions engages with a respective one of the stabilizing slots when the cassette is on the tray in the first orientation and each of the first slot engaging portions engages with a respective one of the stabilizing slots when the cassette is on the tray in the second reversed orientation.
