  • Publication number: 20160078259
Abstract: The present invention envisages a method and a system for interaction between physical objects and digital applications located, for example in mobile devices that comprises the steps of: a) the manufacturer generates an ID; b) stores the ID in a first storage element and c) attaches the first storage element to a physical object. Given that such storage elements has a low storage capability, the method envisages a step d) wherein the ID and a set of attributes of the physical object are stored in a server by a first device and a step e) wherein a second device communicates, by a digital application, with the server to retrieve the set of attributes stored therein.

  • Patent number: 8814702
Abstract: A method for introducing an object with a unique identifier in a video game. A request to a server to introduce the object is made. An identity of a user of the video game is sent to the server. The server generates a token paired with the identity, embeds the token in a multimedia file, and sends the multimedia file to the video console. The video console reproduces the multimedia file and shows a message to the user so that the user executes an application in a smartphone. The application activates a reader to obtain the unique identifier of the object and activates a sensor element to be able to extract said token associated with the multimedia file. The smartphone sends the unique identifier of the object and the token to the server. The server pairs the unique identifier of the object with the identity of the user by means of the token and sends the unique identifier of the object to the video console to introduce it in the video game.

  • Patent number: 8209436
Abstract: A method of migrating a user profile from a first device to a second device. Firstly, a request is made (1a, 1b, 1c) for migrating a user profile (102) located in the first device (100) to the second device (120). Next, the information forming said user profile (102) and an access policy (103) to said user profile is retrieved (2, 3). The request and the retrieval steps are mediated by a profile manager (104). This profile manager (104) then sends, to a server (150), said information forming said user profile (102) and said access policy (103). The server (150) stores (5) said information forming the user profile (102) in a first database (154) and said access policy (103) in a second database (153), the server (150) comprising a profile manager database (155) wherein a plurality of profile managers are stored. One of the stored profile managers is a copy of said profile manager (104) located within said first device (100).

  • Patent number: 8103237
Abstract: A communication procedure between a source mobile equipment which at a given time has no mobile network coverage, and a target equipment, comprising: establishing communication between the source mobile equipment and the target equipment in stages via intermediary equipment; the source equipment initiating a search of the intermediary equipment for sending a message to the target equipment; if the search process does not result in a first intermediary, the source equipment initiates the search process again; the intermediary equipment receive the message and if none of them is the target, those having a retransmitter profile initiate a search process for second intermediary equipment for sending said the message, until the message is received by the target equipment.

  • Publication number: 20110161181
Abstract: A system and method for the management of advertisements in an graphic object such as an application or web page The system includes an ad-server manager that is configured: to receive (from a user-side process that generates graphic objects such as application windows or web pages) a request for an ad-server to be used; to select the ad-server to be used; and to send information related to the selected ad-server to the user-side process. The user-side process then requests the selected ad-server to provide at least one advertisement; and receives said at least one advertisement from the selected ad-server. As a result, the ad-server manager is able to choose the most suitable ad-server for each request, taking account of issues such as temporary unavailability or backwards compatibility. In addition, the applications/web pages may be made lighter, easier to construct and cheaper because they do not need to include the code to recover advertisements.
