Abstract: A method to dynamically clamp the feedback control voltage in DC-DC converters, with the purpose to limit the duty-cycle and to protect the magnetic components against saturation, over a wide range of input voltage conditions. The clamping level is function of input voltage and allows the design optimization of the magnetic components in the way of minimizing their size and is active only during transient events, when momentary open loop condition may occur.
