  • Patent number: 5208459
Abstract: A method for reading-out a radiation image stored in a structured type photostimulable phosphor panel, wherein the phosphor is in a plurality of cells ordered in parallel rows in an inert substrate, comprising the steps of:photostimulating contemporaneously and uniformly along a scanning line all the cells belonging to the same row, causing each cell in said row to emit light according to the energy stored therein, collecting the emitted light and converting it into electrical signals, processing contemporaneously and separately the light emitted by each cell along the scanning line.

  • Patent number: 4736102
Abstract: An elliptical section mirror is placed with its concave side turned towards the surface of a stimulable phosphor panel to detect and deflect towards the second of its focal segments the light emitted by the phosphor after the scanning thereof with a stimulating ray passing through an opening of the mirror. The panel, the emitting surface and the emitting depth of the panel passes through the first focal segment of the mirror and the stimulating radiation impinges upon the panel, preferably in a perpendicular direction, along said first focal segment. A light guide having a straight-line inlet end placed in the second focal segment of the mirror is impinged upon by the light coming from the first focal segment and transfers it towards a photodetector through an outlet end.
