  • Patent number: 4426122
Abstract: This invention is related to a microcomputer associated to a printed circuit connector adapted to connect main circuits to extension circuits. Said connector comprises pressure means associated to a lid covering an aperture provided in the casing of the microcomputer, which pressure means act on a cartridge containing extension circuits. When said lid is in its closed position, the conductive connecting areas, or contacts, of the printed support circuit associated to said extension circuits are maintained in engagement with conductive elastic blades constituting the connecting contact of the main circuits. The invention is particularly advantageous in the field of microcomputors manufactured and distributed on a large scale.

  • Patent number: 4347527
Abstract: The invention relates to recordings in the form of disks and to the reading devices making it possible to repetitively read a still with its sound accompaniment. The invention relates to a recording where the video and audio data form interlaced blocks located in equal sectors of the same turn. The repetitive reading device utilizes buffer stores in which are loaded the video and audio data blocks. The reading of the buffer stores takes place at a reduced speed in order to reconstitute uninterrupted sequences of video and audio data. The invention is more particularly applicable to the storage of pictures on disk with their sound accompaniment with a view, for example, of giving programmed audio-visual instruction or teaching.

  • Patent number: 4084694
Abstract: A container for video-discs includes a support for the disc and a protective envelope which is open along one edge to allow the support to be inserted laterally into the envelope. The container comprises furthermore guiding means for centering the video-disc on the support, and means for engaging the support for its handling and insertion means arranged at one end of the support to allow its sliding into the envelope.

  • Patent number: 4071854
Abstract: An apparatus for reproducing information on a flexible video disc in which the disc is accurately positioned facing the transducer head by structure including a fixed plate for prestabilizing the disc in rotation to a substantially constant distance in relation to the lower face of the plate. The plate has a central inlet coaxial with the axis of rotation for providing an air cushion between the disc and lower face of the plate and a rectangular elongated slot extending perpendicular to that axis. A fluid-tight casing houses a transducer head and includes a lower portion extending through the slot for providing a passage for the light beam and for fluid under pressure, the flow of fluid drawing the disc to a distance where equilibrium is established between the forces of attraction and repulsion.

  • Patent number: 3963863
Abstract: A pick-up device particularly suitable for optical read-out of video-frequency discs, comprising a fixed pick-up and a mobile plate, element of which, carrying the recording substrate, is mobile. The transfer of the recording tracks before the pick-up is produced by a rotational movement on the part of the carrier element, in association with a rectilinear displacement d.sub.1 on the part of said carrier element in relation to the fixed pick-up, this displacement being associated with the rotational speed of the carrier element and with the pitch of the recording tracks.
