  • Patent number: 4619648
Abstract: A front entry, flexible urinary collection bag with an inlet opening at a front wall thereof is connected with a fluid source through a rigid header attached to the flexible bag adjacent the inlet opening at the front of the bag and a fluid conductive connector held in coupling engagement by the header and having an elongate portion which makes fluid connection with the front of the bag through the inlet opening. The portion extends at an acute angle relative to the back of the bag when empty and makes connection with the front of the bag at a location laterally offset from the plane of symmetry, so that the back wall will not asymmetrically bulge away from the central plane of symmetry relative to the front of the bag.

  • Patent number: 4235412
Abstract: A clamping device for a fluid conduction tube comprises first, second, and third body members which are pivotally interconnected for movement between a generally flat, unfolded position and a folded together position in which the first and second body members generally face each other, and the third body member is generally perpendicularly disposed therebetween. The device may be slidably attached to the tube when the body members are in the unfolded position, and, when the device is in the folded together position, a portion of the tube is clamped between the first and second body members, thereby effectively blocking fluid conduction through the tube.

  • Patent number: 3959058
Abstract: The apparatus is comprised of three basic parts, a mold member, an electrode pin member mounted inside the mold member and an electrode ring member mounted on the outside of the mold member. The mold member is made of an insulating, non-metallic material and is provided with a central cavity in which the pin member is mounted. The electrode pin member is made of a conductive metallic material and is provided with a cooling passageway system in the interior thereof. A pair of tubular members of plastic material are inserted into the open end of the mold cavity with their ends abutting each other in an area opposite the end portion of the pin member, with the electrode ring member positioned in the same general area. Radio frequency energy is transmitted between the electrode pin member and the electrode ring member and simultaneously therewith air under pressure is introduced into the passageway system inside the pin.
