  • Patent number: 6574821
Abstract: A two-directional scraping device (1;25) intended for a fluid carrying pipe includes at least one thin disk (6) made of polymer stiffened by reinforcing means (8) secured to the disk. The disk, including the reinforcement, is divided into petals by at least two radial slots (11) whose length is smaller than the radius of the disk, the radius of the disk being substantially greater than the inside diameter of said pipe.

  • Patent number: 5605507
Abstract: A mechanical linking device connects two elements. The device includes resin-coated fibers wound round a principal axis and forming a loop around at least one hole having an axis substantially orthogonal to the principal axis. The device is made using a process for manufacturing a mechanical part through filament winding around a spindle brought into rotation about an axis. Some of the windings use the axis of rotation as the axis and other windings are about a winding axis different from the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5462774
Abstract: Described are engravable coating compositions, in particular for printing cylinders, which comprise at least one resin capable of undergoing coking and producing only a very small proportion of products which are liquid at the temperature at which it decomposes, the main products of decomposition thereof being solid or gaseous at that temperature;and in general a reinforcing particulate filler having a small proportion of edges having acute projecting angles, said filler generally representing a proportion of from 5 to 75% of the resin+filler volume. The process for coating the cylinders comprises:mixing the resin and the filler and degassing the mixture produced;the coating operation in the true sense and drying the layer or successive layers deposited; andbaking the coating.

  • Patent number: 4932352
Abstract: The invention provides a method and device for impregnating at least one elongate element by transferring a thermostabilizable substance from a supply station by means of a supply means, the element being moved in front of the transfer means which includes a mobile surface passing in front of the station then in front of the element, the substance being deposited on the surface in said station and being transferred therefrom at least partially onto the element in a zone close thereto, wherein the transfer means includes thermoregulation means such as heating means, adapted so that the temperature at the surface in the impregnation zone is substantially higher than that of the substance in said supply station.

  • Patent number: 4351642
Abstract: A sensitive element which deteriorates when contacted with the polluting agent, this material comprising a sequenced styrene-butadiene copolymer, of which at least a part is hydrogenated. These elements can be used in pollution sensing devices, or for constituting at least a wall portion of a container housing a product for fighting against pollution.
