  • Publication number: 20090324867
Abstract: Polymer compositions with adhesive properties comprising: (1) at least one fluoropolymer (A) grafted by at least one compound (a) containing at least one functional group (f1) capable of conferring adhesion properties on said polymer; (2) at least one polyolefin (B) grafted by at most 4% by weight, relative to the weight of polyolefin (B), of at least one compound (b) containing at least one functional group (f2) chosen from acid and anhydride groups, optionally completely or partially neutralized by at least one neutralizing agent; and (3) at least one olefin copolymer (C), for which at least 5% by weight of the repeat units are derived from at least one functional monomer (f3) capable of reacting with the functional group (f1) contained in the compound (a).

  • Publication number: 20070293628
Abstract: Article comprising at least one substrate (S) comprising at least one polyolefin composition (C1) comprising at least one nonfunctionalized polyolefin (PO1), the said substrate comprising a surface, and at least one layer (?) coating at least a portion of the surface of the said substrate, the said layer (?) being composed of at least one polyolefin composition (C2) comprising at least one functionalized polyolefin (POg) obtained by grafting acid and/or anhydride groups to at least one nonfunctionalized polyolefin (PO2), the acid and/or anhydride groups optionally being neutralized in all or in part by at least one neutralizing agent, and at least one emulsifying agent. Process for the manufacture of such an article. Improvement in the antistatic properties of the substrate (S) by means of the layer (?).

  • Patent number: 5656718
Abstract: Poly-.epsilon.-caprolactones are produced by continuous polymerization of .epsilon.-caprolactone as a melt in an extruder (reactive extrusion) with the use, as polymerization initiator, of aluminium trialkoxides in which at least one alkoxy radical includes at least one other oxygen atom besides the oxygen atom constituting the aluminoxane (AI--O) bond. This oxygen atom is advantageously present in the form of an ester or ether functional group. These initiators are generally in the liquid state at ambient temperature and are furthermore miscible with .epsilon.-caprolactone, with the result that they can be used in the absence of solvent. The appropriate adjustment of the feed flow rates of .epsilon.-caprolactone and of initiator to the extruder permits the manufacture of custom-made poly-.epsilon.-caprolactones which have predesigned weight-average molecular masses.
