  • Patent number: 4885986
Abstract: The automatic machine for the production of coffee and infusions according to this invention comprises a filter-carrying element having on the base a movable filter for the filtration of the infusion of coffee, into which element there can be sealingly inserted a piston equipped with means for the delivery of hot water under pressure supplied from a metering unit, in which the piston is carried by a transverse bar extending between two parallel side members of the machine and equipped with a pair of connecting rods adjacent to the lateral members and associated with elastic means for exerting tension on the piston and connected eccentrically to respective discs which can be rotatably actuated by a geared motor, there being present means for friction blocking of the piston in a lowered position in the filter-carrying element, these means determining the irreversible transmission of the movement from the motor to the piston, means being also present for the automatic expulsion of the exhausted infusion substanc

  • Patent number: 4671426
Abstract: An automatic dispenser in which a vertically elongated housing has a screw at a rear end thereof whose lower portion is free from a screwthread. Fork-shaped rear edges of trays carrying articles to be dispensed are lowered by rotation of the motor-driven screw until they reach the thread-free portion whereupon the tray is dropped to the bottom of the housing at which an access opening is provided and to allow articles on the trays to be removed while the trays accumulate at the bottom of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4491063
Abstract: The device relates to the distribution under pressure of the hot water coming from a tank, boiler or the like in a coffee-machine and the delivering of the water itself to the chamber where the coffee powder is contained, as well as the filtering of the infusion obtained by the passing of the hot water through the coffee powder as far as the coming out of the infusion itself. The device allows to avoid the clogging of the inlet holes of the hot water into the chamber containing the coffee powder and the clogging or the variation of the holes of the usual filters through which the infusion passes so that the total passing surface of the infusion for filtering remains constant in the time.

  • Patent number: 4188863
Abstract: An automatic coffee-making machine comprising a grinder delivering ground coffee to a metering device storing a metered quantity of ground coffee and of releasing the metered quantity to a delivery chute displaceable from an inoperative position to an operative position above a fixed filter carrier in which is disposed a lower filter for the support of delivered ground coffee. The grinder is driven by a motor responsive to the delivery of a metered quantity of ground coffee to disconnect the motor from the grinder. A piston and cylinder arrangement delivers a measured quantity of hot water to the fixed filter carrier and is displaceable between a lower position to confine the ground coffee therein and to deliver hot water thereto and an upper position.
